Immune From Thargoids: Guardian Weapons Get Good (Elite Dangerous)

19 Apr 3310: Ram Tah has a new modification that makes all Guardian AX weapons immune to Thargoid damage. But you'll need Thargoid materials to buy it.

Looks like the Sirius AX missile racks are still the meta for Titan heat core damage. Low heat, low distro draw, more ammo, and nearly the same damage output per run. Mechan's video shows this.

I was flabbergasted when I realized that this Guardian protection is not a module you can simply buy but an upgrade to all single guardian module, where - AGAIN! - you need to grind your ass off. No thank you!

Let me see if I have got this right... I still cannot use my God Shard to fight the Titan? Would also be good if we could have more module storage. Would also be good if we could build a ship without having to be in it. Same goes for engineering it. Also would be good if we could have multiple ships at the engineers. And not only be able to summon ships there, but send ships ahead of us to the engineers and carriers.

As much as I (still) like ED, Frontier IMO messed up all that Thargoid stuff with that wall of grind behind it. Thargoid fighting was fun in the first years, but since the appearance of the Titans I quit fighting this boring crap. So I totally agree to your statement.

I was pleasantly surprised to find I had all the Thargoid materials I needed to switch my AX-cutter from missiles, to the Guardian Shard Cannons (5 of em!) I don't remember picking up the materials - but it's all good!

In other words, Frontier gives us the torpedoes without the need to farm for the materials. Now for weapons, yes. And what about the rest of the guardian modules like the jump power-up? And why don't we have this since torpedoes appeared? Frontier and its absurd logic.

Well that's something they never had before and was desperately needed, more grind to upgrade weapons and equipment. This should up the game play.

Yes, this upgrade is SPECIFICALLY made to immunize (is that a word?) guardian weapons from anti-guardian fields. Like Orthrus, Glaives or Titans use.

I can't spend my life for gathering stuff, Since i started to play this game had no time to enjoy it cuz of this get that get this work. Another dumb grind......why would you want to use the guardian stuff anyway, you will heat up so much and need so much energy the Titan will see you miles away.

The standard shard cannons (primary use for this upgrade, honestly) are actually quite low-heat weapons. Compared to modshards or gauss. They don't drain much distro either, so you would probably be just fine staying cool with a beam
