I've watched many KNF process videos here on KZbin. Finding this one most complete with clear, precise details, and easy to understand. Great audio quality. nice work man.

This is actually my third time coming back to watch this video once again, I like to rewatch videos and reread papers in order to obtain more information from them often times you learn so much on a daily and weekly basis that when you come back to something it may make more sense or give you an idea in order to Not only help yourself as a natural farmer but help the community to continue to grow and thrive and build out different ways of doing things different fermentation process and different end results. Because that’s the beauty of natural farming is that there is no end to it it’s just an Engine that you’re putting inputs into and seeing what the results are. Excellent work I love how you really try to find new ways to work with natural farming!

@nastytechniquez96855 ай бұрын
@@TheSturdy1 I’ve heard many say to use cedar as well. What they don’t realize is this all stems from the using “cedar” as it’s called in eastern countries but in the west we would call it a pine. Siberian cedar for example is a Siberian pine. It’s specifically western red cedar that I would not use personally, I also believe redwoods are similar for their rot resistance.

Boxes are easy to make, you can use untreated wicker baskets, even cutting up pallets would work if its unttreated wood

Great video really appreciate the clear information. I've been through Chris Trumps Certification class. This summer '23 I made and processed all the IMOs here in N. IL. My results were graded from me as "Meh", could do better, but wanted to go through all processes. I'd like to know if you've done the IMO4 Healing treatment. I tried but couldn't get my temps to go beyond 118° with pile hieght 18" high, may have had the ratios wrong. But was excited, curious and learned a lot. Please keep pushing out your videos sharing your experinces. We're watching 🤓. On a funny note my dogs joined me everytime I mixed the pile and would eat from the pile, soon enough their poop was blooming on the lawn, think I invented IMO6 😉🤣

Look for thick layers of organic material. In Austin oak leaves can take 2-3 years to break down and you still capture local organisms to make IMO 1.
@rogueregenerativeagriculture Жыл бұрын
That is correct, and not just Austin that’s very common all over. However, if you can bury your box within the top 6” layer and completely cover it w/ leaves your chances of an “A” collection are better.

Medium Grain rice works great and is more cost effective, no need to buy sushi rose or cal ropse or any of that. Just wash it good
@rogueregenerativeagriculture3 ай бұрын
@@postupmedia ya true- I have cultured IMO on many grains including quinoa, millet, oats, and barley, as well as acorn meal, so rice isn’t mandatory at all just the traditional way from Asia. Sushi rice in bulk is really the same price for me compared to others.

@rogueregenerativeagriculture6 күн бұрын
@@Xray.71 this is not white (refined) sugar here, it’s a raw form sugar I’m using. Yes organic raw (least processed) as possible is the best practice.

@ Ok awesome! I just assumed just like everything else under the KNF umbrella it uses the molasses in the sugar. Appreciate the response! I’m fairly new with the KNF way, next learning block is building IMO. I’m in Southwest Florida, we don’t have soil we have sand! Makes it worse is I’m only a few miles from the beaches. Dig down about 3-4’ and I’m hitting ground water.
