Is Portuguese TV as dire as Spanish TV? In Spain they cut a programme in mid sentence, then have 9 minutes of adverts followed by a little film then some more adverts before returning to the programme which may only have 2 minutes to run to the end!

There’s a lot of daytime talk shows which I would never watch on British TV. Not my cup of tea but it’s always more interesting in another language.

Do the shops normally close at 4 pm or is that because of the recent restrictions. Thank you for the flutey demo, sorry to see the busted pad. It is surprising that they last so long. In America, we generally call a satsuma orange a tangerine.

Oh no - I couldn’t do it. It needs very exact positioning and testing for air tightness etc. Plus it needs removing and repositioning which means a bit of dismantling and putting back together very precisely. I wouldn’t attempt it. Maybe on a ‘cheap’ £300 flute I might...

Hubby wanted something done with one of his sax mouth pieces. There was a guy from WAY across the country (US, big country) That guy had a gig in the Bay Area (3 hours away from us) We went to the gig, he took the mouth piece and did his thing then shipped it back to us. Turned out quite well.

Too much excitement on the flute playing, busting your flute! Expensive to fix? Oh, nice shopping haul, we're normally fans of frozen chips but lately we've been trying making our own, slicing potatoes into chip shapes and spraying 1-cal spray on them...in the oven for 30 mins, crisp!

We are going back into limited capacity in our grocery stores so I guess long lines are in my future. I tried to make a video today but I became nervous about my Rode Wireless Microphone getting drenched in the downpour. I am going to try zip-lock bags over the units and plug in a Lavalier mic. Going back out there again tomorrow and attempt the one-handed umbrella cam. It's always a joy to watch your channel.
@PlanetImo4 жыл бұрын
One handed umbrella cam is a pain!! One handed anything cam is. I can get both cameras on and off with one hand and teeth if I need to, but it’s not ideal. I’ve nipped my lip folding away the flip monitor many times.

Oh wow... we're having the same rain pouring down today too. It's coming down in buckets.. flooding the sides of the road. That was a lovely tune, what was the dinging sound at the end of it? I listened twice because I found it to be so pretty. Too bad you can't fix your flute, instead of having to take it elsewhere.. But yes.. if any, this is the time to have something needing fixing. LIke Izzy, my hubby's fav fruits are strawberries, grapes and then in the winter time he loves pomegranates when they are in season. I am a strawberry and a banana lover. Looks like a little alien face on your mince pie. Is that a mincemeat pie? If so... I LOVE them. My dad was a mincemeat lover, so I grew up with it, and just love it. My dad would eat his mincemeat pic with evaporated milk on it... ***gag*** . haha.. am not an evaporated milk lover. Cute ending... lol.. Yes.. I liked and am subscribed. Thanks for sharing.. see you tomorrow.. 😍❤
@PlanetImo4 жыл бұрын
The dinging sound was my glockenspiel. I wanted a very specific pitch/note to fit in with the melody, hence I recorded my own.
@PlanetImo4 жыл бұрын
It was mincemeat as in the sweet dried fruit mincemeat. Evaporated milk!! Haven’t had that in years. That would go lovely with a mince pie. I prefer cream though!

That is a downpour! Your landlord should put a little awning over your door...but that probably won't happen....so the towel works! LOL Our wind storm was bad yesterday. That was funny about the folders, but sure not funny about your poor flute! Our youngest daughter played flute from about 4th grade to high school, and she has played a few times since, but didn't keep up with it. She sure wishes she had. Our family is Irish decent, so that would have been nice. One of my granddaughters is an Irish dancer. She do really well.
@PlanetImo4 жыл бұрын
Oh wow! The Irish dancing sounds cool! It doesn’t seem to involve the purchasing of a lot of expensive outfits and wigs, from what I’ve heard. I did a vlog with a lot of Irish dancing in once... that’s a great idea about the awning!

@@PlanetImo Her name is Annie, and yes, Irish dancing costs quit a bit. Wigs and very fancy outfits. She has a very good group she dances with, and the teachers and some of the older girls have traveled to world competitions. Annie is very serious about it, I believe her 4th or 5th year. She even had several broken toes including her big toe, and later a surgery, and she went straight back into it. The broken bones had nothing to do with the dancing, but just shows how serious she is about it.

I think it does too. With milk, I’m told it’s a temperature thing and is real. I don’t know about powder though. It seems more creamy if you put it in first.
