As a Turkish person; I want to congratulate both teams. This was such a high quality match, and competition was great. This is what I call final game. Any person,who loves volleyball, will enjoy this match. Imoco-vakifbank matches have always been a classic, and have been always great!! We, vakifbank fans, know how difficult to defeat imoco volley. As a Turkish person, I want to congratulate Italian fans too. Italy and Turkey are only true countries investing in women’s volleyball. I hope this will continue forever and our teams will always compete.

I'm italian and i have to Say vakif deserved the victory. Game was dominated by Cansu. She played wonderful and made Ogbogu shines. Haak is great player, She attacked every balls with insane Power. Gabi Is technically a Monster. Michelle gave all and did sacrifice for her team. Unfortunately Egonu mentally disappeared

In my opinion, Cansu deserved the best setter tittle. She has the mind of steel with stably diverse sets to every hitter including the middles, and that helped to beat the block. I have never watched anything like this because setters usually set too much balls for the one they trust the most in the deciding big moments. 👏

I believe Gui is the one to congratulate here. I think his grand strategy was not to "block" Egonu but to block everyone else in the team (e.g. Plummer, De Kruijf, etc.). It felt like he had a solution for everyone else in the team. Gonegliano made several changes cause the players were force to perform their worst. You can see almost no remorse or any sort of dissatisfaction for every point Egonu scored. The team must have been told not to "mind" whatever Egonu was doing or could have done but focus on their own game. We can clearly see that volleyball is a team play not an individual game. Egonu might have scored around 35 points but almost no other player in the team reached double digits. It was great to see Vakifbank showing a textbook example of a game today.

I totally agree with your analysis...it's absolutely true as if Vakif bank let Egonu play alone...all of his smashes are rarely blocked by more than one person...Because it's useless to block it.. it must be released anyway.. so the energy of the Vakiff bank players is saved to overcome other players Imoco

Gabi is such a complete player, it's so rare to find these kind of players nowadays. She has tecnique and experience (what was missing today from both Courtney and Plummer - they definitely felt the pressure - it's so difficult to find the replacement of Kim Hill). Egonu should have won the Best Opposite, she carried the team the whole game (Haak was good but to me no one else could do what Egonu does - love her spike going under Cansu legs or the spike landing on Zehra Gunes head, if she wasn't there it could hit the 1 metre). Mvp should have been Cansu (she improved so much from the Olympics).

These Imoco - Vakıf contests are my favourite among all kinds of sport matches by far , always 5 sets , always sensational . i think Wolosz is the best setter right now but Cansu could've been the mvp too ,i don't praise her that much but these matches,she totally played her best performance..and as a personal choice ,Gabi is the my mvp of the tournament , she just never disappoints, a dream outside hitter of every coach .. was a great week for volleyball !

Egonu no doubt the most explosive and unstoppable player in the world but she has a weakness that sometimes she gets lost. Was hoping for a back to back title but Conegliano threw away the 5th set with 5 unforced errors and several passing problems. I'm glad this stretched to a tiebreaker because Egonu almost got no support from her teammates. Anyway, congratulations it's really hard to perform under pressure. To Vakifbank you did great. Varifbank plays a very organized defensive play. Everyone seems to be at the right place and time but IVC was really the opposite. I do not think they had the team to beat this team. Egonu was good but not great like I saw her playing other games and really does not get really good passes. They need better passers and new coach

HAAK deserved the MVP award and Best Opposite as well! Isabelle Haak’s Attack Efficiency for the whole tournament 45.5%= 50, 60, 39, 33 vs Egonu 45%= 44, 57, 44, 35, both as Best Scorer for each game. While Vakifbank never lost a set before the final game. It’s 0.5 difference by average. Also, Haak’s scoring efficiency is higher than Egonu (the one who will be the MVP if they just win) during this final game, 17.14 vs 12.36.

@@all_sports0 I am sorry but you are wrong, this 2021 was a bit different from the 2019 World Club. Haak was the Best Opposite Spiker because she have played all the matches of the tournament, gained the Best Scorer in the statistics, with no rest at all. While, Egonu has rested a game against Itambe Minas, where she didn't play. She was indeed MVP worth it that time, but Haak has to be the Best Opposite Spiker for her debut for playing all the matches.

Milena rasic was playing for vakifbank. I think she got married and ended her career ( I am not sure, but she didn’t go to any other team). Maia ognjenovic played for vakifbank too. But she is in eczacibasi right now. Serbian players brought fun, joy, quality, and competition to Turkish league, and as you say people always look for them in final matches

Turkish teams showed once again that the best league and teams in the world are the Turkish league and teams. Turkish teams have won 7 out of 10 tournaments since the world club championship started again. Not only the championship, but also our other teams are usually 2nd or 3rd. The world mix Imoco, which was established just to beat Vakıfbank, remained in the second place and they will even look for the second place with a candle in the coming years because Fenerbahce and Eczacıbaşı are regaining their old strength. Adding to these, THY will now be at the top of Europe, and the Italian teams, which had the honor of beating the Turkish teams that could not even train last year due to the pandemic, will face reality again.

I don’t know what the heck fivb is trying to do with the dream team like Cansu played incredibly good in all the matches and they still gave the best setter award to wolosz who just passed the ball to egonu all the time?? De gennaro is maybe the best libero but for this tournament she really wasn’t good ayça was hundered times better but they still gave the award to her also ogbogu too was better then robin like if they really wanted to give an award to an imoco player that should have been egonu who literally carried the whole team. A suggestion/note for VolleyballWorld: Heynen was good in commenting the Men World Club Championship but I find him "inadequate" for the women side. He said himself he tried to "learn" women volleyball in one week because he didn't know much about it and hearing him saying and repeating through the whole match "I don't understand the setter choice" is really not helping. He clearly not know how women plays, it's quite different from men (in women the opposite is more involved). For women volleyball it would be great to actually have a woman (ex player or coach maybe) to do the technical comment. Just like it's very unlikely to find 2 female commentators for the Men side. You could do better.

@@DaviSousa-ju3sv Pipocou com quase 40 pontos. Só esse ano já ganhou supercopa, champions, europeu, italiano. Em 2019 ganhou o mundial acabando com o Vakif. Me diz aonde que é "normal" ela pipocar? Ela ainda fez muito levando o jogo pro tie break, já que e o resto do time sumiu. Vakif ganhou pq jogou bem coletivamente, enquanto no Cone só ela jogou. Menos, bem menos viu...

As a vakıfbank fan im happy our team could win aganist imoco. In my opinion the differance, Imoco have one lethal weopon egonu 10 point player. The others 6 point player. In vakıfbank team all players are 8 point player. This gives vakıf more options.

Gongratulations to vakifbank they deserved the victory they played incredibly well and showed an immense power and determination to win the final. Everyone contributed to the win ( HAAk - Gabi - zehra - bartch - aykaş - chiaka ). Hard luck for congeliano they played very well but didn't show their real strength as the used to have. I think the absence of kim Hill was really there and Sylla was really disappointing with her reception and Guiddetti cleverly used that to his advantage. Plummer and cournteny lack the experience I guess for this type of big matches and didn't contribute very much. I think De genaro and wolosh were the one playing very well in this game. ROBIN and Folie were disappointing as well. Egouno what a monster player she's definitely the best player in the world. with 35 points she pretty much saved the team from losing 3 - 0 to vakifbank and I think she had a huge task on her hands to save her team in the 5th set and obviously that was mentally challenging and she made huge errors. Great game as usual from both teams 👏
