Even though Imo herself later expressed misgivings about the work - it is truly a special addition to the repertoire. Although a good work in its own right, it's importance in the repertoire is enhanced by its dialog with her father's masterpiece. We are, indeed, very fortunate to have both.

The note here does not make it clear that I have edited the score , adjusting some balances and voicing.

sorry Paul, I'll edit that don't worry. Thanks for commenting, this video is not monetizing, I just wanted to promote Imogen's music, thanks for providing this performance. I'm editing a documentary about Gustav Holst and it will be available soon, not for profit. I also have plans for a future film about Imogen.

@@BrunoLimaHis thanks for the information Bruno. Delighted to hear that you are contemplating a doc about IMO. I never met her, but my brother did when he sang at Aldeburgh Festival with the BBC Northern Singers under Stephen Wilkinson, who died very recently aged 102! This brass band piece is a fascinating exercise in how to emulate your father with out quite plagiarising. I have another live performance planed for January at the RNCM Brass Band Festival played by Brighouse & Rastrick Band.

@@PHMPublishing This might be difficult, but are you planning on filming some of these performances? if yes, i would love to put it in the ducumentary, if you can help me with that it would be wonderful, i'll just need a some excerpts. Are you interested in watching the Holst documentary? if yes, as soon as it's available I'll send it, what's your email?

@@BrunoLimaHis That would be splendid1 The Redbridge Youth Orchestra was delighted to have Imogen`s presence and help at the rehearsal of the Perfect Fool at the Jubilee Hall in 1973. At dinner for the entire orchestra at the White Lion, She recalled the first rehearsal of that work and how her father didn`t get on too well with conducting the 7/8 section. He, therefore called out, "I say - Adrian! - could you come and do this - I can`t get it right!" Adrian Boult, then a young man, who happened to be present, duly obliged ! What a lovely account! I do hope you have success with your documentary - and, indeed - the filming you mention above, takes place! The very best to you. Beverley Wood (Mr)
