It's so refreshing to listen to someone who doesn't do drugs and would never touch them. I'm 22 and was in the minority of people at uni and even after uni who has never touched them and because of that and not having that in common with 'friends' I lost touch with people. This really touched me. I’ve had friends like this and when you are in that situation you don’t realise what your parents are telling you. I ended up a mess at a party, my older brother had to come get me and carry me home because this boy stole my phone, SIM card everything, I couldn’t move from the toilet I was throwing up and my best friends at the time couldn’t care less, I ended up in hospital and it was only my (ex) that cared and left the party to make sure I was okay. You are the strongest most independent girl I have come come across, you have us all now so life can only go up from now 🙌🏻 love you 🦋

I’m exactly the same, I’m always the odd one out at parties because I’ve never touched a cigarette or any drugs. It’s so weird how in this day in age it’s more common to do them than not. I don’t judge, you do you girl and enjoy it, but don’t pressure someone else to do it. 💖

"Lauren" sounds like she may of had a really tough upbringing, so it makes sense that she does reckless things with those kinds of people- its familiar to her. It baffles me that someone can treat anyone especially someone so loving, loyal and caring in such a horrible way. I guess that’s why we’re all different, if we were all lovely there wouldn’t be anyone in the world to teach us how to be strong and actually of our worth. No one should ever apologise for being nice, it’s one of the best things in the world rather be known as too nice than horrible any old day. I’m sorry you had to go through this angel, but look at you now! Lauren who? You have what 153/4 thousands friends! You literally are the definition of an angel, when I think about how your mum and dad had horrible upbringings but they didn’t let it effect them bringing up their children infact it made them be the exact opposite and that is simply AMAZING! They’ve done so incredibly well brining you all up! I actually had a bit of a situation myself yesterday. I was best friends with a girl, all through high school. We even went on to college together studying the same thing. She was never a bad friend at all. However, one day she begun to tell me she’d been messaging this boy and he’d said this that and the next thing and asked her out on a date. I was so happy for her, as you do I asked who he was. She told me his name and right away my stomach sunk! He had also been messaging me and saying exactly the same things. I had to tell her, that’s what friends do right? She was willing to go out with him and I couldn’t stand back and let him mug her off. So I told her, at the time she was all omg I can’t believe it etc. I get in to college the next day and the girls who were in our friendship group who I’d just met at college told me my best friend had phoned them up the night before saying all these things about me! I was doing it to embarrass her, I love myself I think I’m amazing! I was only ever looking out for her, as a friend she should of known I was actually a very insecure person. The girls I’d met at college had more loyalty to me in those months than she did after years. I then obviously pulled her up on it and she clearly didn’t expect that the girls would tell me and she was stuttering saying she didn’t mean it how it sounded and she’s just jealous because I’m petite, slim and pretty. I had to say you can’t use your insecurities against me it’s unfair. I didn’t speak to her for weeks after that. Being at college together made it difficult so we were extremely civil to each other. After I left there was absolutely no need for me to have her in my life. I’m the sort of person if you wrong me you’re gone. Life is hard enough without worrying if your friends speaking about you behind your back. The group of girls I met in college one of them is now my best friend, been best friends for 7 years. The girl who was my best friend I’ve not spoke to in years we’ll say happy birthday to each other on fb etc but that’s about it. My best friend now (one I met at college) they dont speak either. Yet yesterday, she decided to Message my friend and then dropped in conversation are you still friends with anyone from college? Now she has us both on Facebook and Instagram she knows we’re best friends so my friend was like yeah Michelle she’s been my rock for the past 7 years. Then my old best friend was like I feel like after 7 years she still hates me. So my friend was like no she wouldn’t hate anyone she doesn’t have a bad bone in her body she’s just left the past in the past. My friend was furious that she messaging her telling her, her best friend apparently hates her. My friend had my back 100% and because she didn’t like that she dropped into conversation (with my friend who she hasn’t spoken to in years) she can’t have children! Now of course that is horrible! I wouldn’t wish that on anyone but knowing her I know she did that because she wanted to turn it round on her to get sympathy because my best friend was saying nothing but good things about me! People really do like drama don’t they 😴 anyway sorry for my long ass comment 😂. Never change gorgeous girl, love you lots ❤️❤️

I’m reading this back and when I mention her saying she can’t have children, my heart genuinely did break for her (was just part of me hoping it’s not a sick lie) you wouldn’t drop it in to conversion with someone you hasn’t spoke to in 7 years it’s a very personal thing that’s why I think she used that opportunity to say it to turn it on her and get sympathy which might sound awful but she always did that 😔🙈

Stay the better person you are. 2. Never doubt yourself especially when you know deep down that you didn't do anything wrong. I've had so many friends who've done me so wrong because they used to think that nice people are stupid. Absurd. But as I get older I appreciate my big heart and my kindness. Completely understand every point you made in this video (with the best friend, not the weird boy - forgot names already ahaha)! As been there myself through all the emotions, I do drink but not when out in an unfamiliar area and even if there is one person there who I dont know (it just makes me feel safer). I have no problem who do get drunk in clubs etc I just prefer and have learnt through these experiences to think about my safety and people who I trust safety. Id rather be the sober one carrying someone home then the one being carried with no memory of what has gone on. I think I've just learnt to be careful in these type of situations where I don't really know the place or people. Thank goodness i have learnt through these experiences and helped to better myself as a person. Thank you so much for this video Imogen, I know its only a story time but this brings back so many memories and at a time like this is a good way to reflect on similar experiences and how years change you and better you. I recently lost a friend and I was sad about it but watching your videos made me realise that it was for the best and she didn't and still doesn't deserve to be in my life because she was a horrible friend (not like "Lauren" but still horrible) and I was down about it because I never saw the signs, you care about people and that only helps you focus on the good things they do and you think that their decisions are fine but they aren't and I never realised until I left school that she wasn't a friend but you really helped me get through that. Thank you for being the best role model and inspiration in the world, there isn't a day that goes by where I don't feel inspired by you. If everyone in this world was like you it would be such a nicer happier environment, we should continue to spread love and positivity because there is too much hate in this world !! Please never stop doing KZbin angel, I would love to see more storytimes about anything I honestly love them and they help me through so much also please do a makeup collection video. I'm a HUN now and I'm here to stay forever and always angel.
