Douma is just underestimated. He felt uncomfortable while people came to pay homage to him and remained alone for almost 20 years. He suffered child exploitation and his parents certainly forced him to tell others that he heard the voices of the kami, he was certainly mistreated by them. That's why he didn't cry when they died and lost his emotions. Douma became a demon because he no longer had anything. So to try a new life again and become a demon. Douma had feelings for Kotoha but he had to kill her because otherwise Muzan would have killed him for falling in love with a human. Then when he was little, elderly people and even worse, sinners, went to pay homage to a child, a CHILD. Who knows what they would have done to him. Douma is underrated and deserves more. I will stay aside Douma. ❤️
