Sir you talk about holding the sensex from 1979. But there might be diffetence in the companies who were in 1979 and the companies which are today in sensex. In such case, in earlier times money which i had inveted in companies would get lost!! In such circumstances how can my investment grow!
@VarunMalhotraEIFS6 жыл бұрын
Hello Sir, Please note that there are funds called Index funds, for example NIFTY INDEX FUNDS, which track the NIFTY index. If you invest in a NIFTY index fund, your money will be invested in the TOP 50 companies of India and when these companies change, your money will automatically shifted from the companies that fall out of the top 50 rankings and it will be invested in the new company that will replace it in the NIFTY 50 index. In such a way, your capital is protected even though the companies will change over the next 30 years. Whatever the top 50 companies will be 30 years from now, your money will be invested in them if you continue to hold over this time. Also, the top 50 companies will grow at a certain rate, which should be higher than the bank rate. This rate may be anything from 12-15%, if inflation remains at 4-6% and therefore over time your money will grow at that rate. Historically, SENSEX return has been around 17% over the last 37-38 years or so. We hope this answers your question. Rahul Rao EIFS Team

There is one way we can save these tax. instead of taking out lump sum, we can use systematic withdrawal plan (available UTI MF). this way automatically amount will be credited to our account and we can use the 1 Lk limit also for capital gain tax every year.
@reni1234able6 жыл бұрын
Ye v toh dekhiye ki sip mei aur lump sum mei final amount ka kitna difference hota hai .... Agar sip ke through 12 lakh 10 yrs ke lie invest karte hain toh ,,just 27 lakh hi milta hai + tax deduction 1.5 lakh means total amount earn is 13.5 lakh means just double ...but wahi aap agar lump sum karwate ho toh,,about 53 lakh rs you will earn ...so total earning is 41 lakh + tax deduction is 4.1 lakh rs it means 37 lakh ...3 times more than your sip amount ....

You are increasing the amount of sip in order to get more profit and from the increased profit you will pay the tax(ltgc), but tax were employed on the profit, so by increasing the sip amount we not only increase the profit but also the amount of tax as well. So according to me we can't free from taxes by increasing the sip. If i was wrong or misunderstood your point, do correct me Thank-you

@ratneshchouhan66 жыл бұрын
Hi Mr. Varun I saw all of you video lectures and they are very enlightening and inspiring. I learned a lot from them now I have few queries , How can I get it clarified as I can't attend your FLAP program as I don't live in NCR. Is there any way to get it clarified. for a start you suggested to invest in Index ETF as it will always represent top 50 or next 50 companies of India, Based on that Reliance ETF Junior Bees seems the perfect choice but if you see since Sensex and Nifty are governed by some govt body and if the stock has to be taken out of it like PNB it would be taking time till Apr, and If there is any other fund e.g. Reliance Small Cap Fund the Fund manager will have more control to clear out non performing companies quickly. So would you still suggest to buy some index fund or any other better performing fund. As there is significant difference in terms of returns in last 5 yrs of both these fund , i.e. Reliance Small Cap fund - Returns[Last 5 yrs] - 35.48% - Exp Ratio - 0.99% and Reliance ETF Junior Bees - 20.44% [Last 5 yrs] - Exp Ratio - 0.19% , Please provide your valuable suggestion.

Sir I'm 26 and after watching your videos i started investing in index funds and PPF as i don't want to put all my eggs on in nifty 50.. I have a really big confusion about mutual funds in general.. Does compounding really happens in MFs as the returns are not fixed and can be negetive also in some years of bear market.. So compounding will be their in the negetive return years also.. In ppf when i calculate after 15 years my corpse is around 17 lakhs if i put 5000 monthly and if extend for only another 5 years its 25-28 lakhs coz of compounding.. I don't see that happening as NAV will not get double in just 5 years.. Please reply and explain the math... @VarunMalhotraEIFS6 жыл бұрын
Hello Sir, We do NOT recommend buying anything based on watching youtube videos alone. There are a lot of nuances about investing that are not on youtube and therefore, we do not recommend making an investment decision based on partial knowledge. BUT, if you were to start an SIP in a NIFTY index fund/SENSEX fund and forget about it for the next 30 years, you will do pretty well. Problem is, without knowing investing in depth, the next time there is an event like 2008 crisis and everybody on TV is telling you how we're doomed, you will not be able to continue your investments if you do not understand WHY you are investing in the first place. THE 'WHAT TO BUY' part is, the 'WHY' to buy and continue buying is the hard part. Thank you Rahul Rao

FYI: I already have my Demat account which opened by default.
@VarunMalhotraEIFS6 жыл бұрын
Please stay away from IPO. Why? When does a company list itself on the bourses, when investor sentiment is high and the promoters can get the maximum amount they can get from investors in exchange for part ownership of their company. Therefore, you will end up buying expensive NOT cheap. you want to buy your stocks like you buy your vegetables, bargaining till the last penny, NOT like you buy a necklace for you wife, where higher price may have higher perceptional value. Sorry, we do not invest in IPO's and we suggest that same for you. Thank you Rahul Rao EIFS Team

Just answer one question. What is the realistic estmate of CAGR of Sensex for next 38 years.
@VarunMalhotraEIFS6 жыл бұрын
Hello Sir, While that is a tricky question to answer, Reason and facts suggest that if india grows at 8%, which we are poised to do, and inflation remains between 4-6% average, there is a strong possibility that we can get at least 12-14% (+ Dividend of 1-2%). But again, even if the growth is less than that, in the long run Stocks are the best performing asset class ( or have been historically) and you'll do better than the bank rate if you invest in businesses (Top 50 Indian companies). Hope this answers your question. Thank you Rahul Rao EIFS Team
@SagarVR6 жыл бұрын
Varun Malhotra - EIFS Do you think India is going to grow at 8% for next 38 years ? (It is not a question on best asset class. It is a question on this 'Invest in Sensex' theory and it's calculations.)
@VarunMalhotraEIFS6 жыл бұрын
Sir, we must grow at around 8% in the long term if we are to pull millions of people out of poverty, however, there is no guarantee. The only guarantee as such is that the next generation will always lead a better life than the previous generation, in terms of their ability to consume more in the future. Expecting 14-16% in the next couple decades maybe a reasonable inference. No can tell for sure, exactly how much and when but we will do better in the future than we are doing right now. Again, if you want to gain a better understanding you should try the FLAP online course www.eifsonline.in You question is explained in depth in the FLAP online seminar by Varun sir. Sir, PLEASE do not make decision based simply on KZbin videos. These videos are for educational purpose only and must not be considered as investment advice. There is more to investing that what meets the eye and you need to educate yourself thoroughly before Investing. Also, we don't how you have interpreted the information so we are unable to comment on the correctness of the decision. Please please do not act on partial information. At the very least at least try to understand the basics by joining FLAP. Please call us directly if you have any doubts but Please do not invest without full understanding. Rahul Rao EIFS 7011186177
