Correct! Now that paying players is out in the open, the B1G schools have a pretty large advantage in wealth and the wealth of their alumni bases. Texas schools are the possible exceptions, but the rest of the SEC will get brought back down from recruiting dominance.

Speaking of Connor, First off the guy is a legend and I don't think most people even realize what he has done in his life!!! That being said I was thinking to myself how crazy this year has been with so many teams losing games that no way they should and why this is happening. Bryce made the right decision. He gets a sure $12 million no matter what, even if he gets injured or busts. He has a superior offensive line & Brady as a mentor at Michigan. His only motive to choose LSU is for the air raid offense but he has to sit a year for a third of the money. & some other LSU Qb may beat him out. At Michigan, he is the surefire starter right away.

As far as Michigan recruiting looking great right now, any concern that some players could leave if a post-season ban gets imposed by the always slow-moving NCAA? They just granted Michigan officials a 30-day response extension on 11/25 to the "Notice Of Allegation" sent 3 months ago for the still un-resolved "scandal" issue. Won't this legal request by U of M make a resolution take even longer now with nothing able to be settled for several MORE months?... Are recruits even aware that this is ALL still pending?, because depending on the final ruling, I bet some athletes choose to leave Michigan if the team is ineligible to play in the post season for the next couple years! Would players get only a portion of promised NIL $$$; or forced to give back/even sewed to return $$$ if an unfavorable ruling comes out and players start bailing on this program?... Could all get rather messy for donors and especially potential recruits. 😞 Just VERY concerned, and I just don't think we have near enough answers at this point with zero resolved in the "advanced in-person scouting scandal"; no one can confidently move forward yet; and doesn't this extention only prolong knowing just how severe these sanctions/consequences may end up being?

Was all good when everybody else was paying players for the last 15 years (SEC, Ohio, etc.) just business as usual. But when Michigan makes their first real entry into NIL and flips an SEC commit (who lives literally 20 minutes from the big house, grew up a huge Michigan fan and has been offered to be mentored by a Michigan alum and GOAT QB) the kid is just greedy and it was all about the money. Kid literally grew up a Michigan fan but LSU offered him a ton of money and Jim Harbaugh botched the relationship with Bryce, so this situation was far more nuanced than you are giving it credit for.
