Why does everybody model the impactor as a rigid body?? Do you have an Abaqus impact analysis of a deformable impactor striking a composite plate?

Because the impactor deformation can be negligible so little bit simplification

@@mustafabilgin7504 In most cases the deformation is not negligible. There is often significant erosion that takes places in the projectile .....even the deformation at the projectile tip (nose) is significant and often assumes a blunt shape after impact.

I have done in a similar way. But errors comes like '3602 elements have missing property definitions.The elements have been identified in element set ErrElemMissingSection.' How to rectify this error sir.

@@muneerahmed9263 I resolved it... Wat u can do is...go to the results section and click on elements... Then click on the errelement section to know which property is missing... Then take the necessary action.. hope this helps..
