He was such an intelligent person. The way he describes life, and the way he put his personal life into music, is gut wrenching. It’s sad and scary listening to him describe the next year about recording his new record and relaxing in Brazil. Will certainly miss this mastermind. Rip Warrel Dane.

Warrel, I am handicapped. Have been since 2005 from an auto accident. I have loved Nevermore ever since my best friend had me listen to This Godless Endeavor and I've been hooked ever since. Unfortunately the band split up and I continue to follow every single band member since then. I love everything you and Jeff and just everyone put out for use to consume and grow. I feel and agree with everything you poured out lyrically. I wish I could do so much to heal the world and the corruption out there, here I am barely making it month to month in a small one bedroom garage made into a makeshift house, sitting in my wheelchair seeing all that's wrong with the world. However I know the beauty in life is much more impactful and great than the corruption money brings us. Even though I know no one cares and will read this, if somehow you see this I just want you to know how much you've impacted my life and I seriously believe if I hadn't found Nevermore when I did I wouldn't be alive today, your words, and your passion has fueled me to see the reality before me and know that even when things are bad there's always a chance to become great and maybe, just maybe even I can save the world in my own way and impact someone else's life. After all, each other is all we have. Just, thank you.

I spent time with Warrel before he headed off to S.America.. He was Glowing... He's always had a smile that Lights Up the Room. He's always done his best to make sure Everyone around him was Comfortable.. He always joked around but just enough to keep the mood positive... He always seemed to think, What can I do to make the situation better.. He was always straight with me. In One Minute and a few words, he got me to quit smoking cold turkey after a decade of smoking... He helps you look inside Yourself and the World Around You and accept it or more so.. Realize what and how it really is .. Who You Really Are.. And even if Things aren't as good as You Thought... You are capable of ANYTHING... I could go on for days.. but.. Look into Yourself and Realize what You Want to do , Want to Be , ...... You Already Are... Just Put Action To It.. One thing I Love about Warrel was He Was Honest , He Opened His Heart to the World and He Poured his Soul Out Through Every Note of Every Song..... After Reading Your Post... You sound Like You have a lot of good things to say.. Grab a Mic , Start a Channel and Inspire the World.. Talk about whatever YOU WANT.. see where it goes... Just do ONE thing Everyday that You want or need or ....... You wrote Your post Three Years Ago... How Are You Doing ? I know Warrel would have Loved Your Words...

@@sparkynm156 I'm doing pretty good now. I bought a house with my fiance 2 years ago, have been able to save some money thanks to a well timed break and I've been able to maintain a positive outlook on most things in life. Especially with how this year has been going. Still trying to save what little money I have remaining from my SSI check to get a decent computer so i can try and find a job but all in all I'm doing okay. Thank you for responding with those beautiful words. I sure wish Warrel didn't leave us. He was definitely taken too soon...

Im 50, Warrel, i got refuge when i was 13, when i was 14, i was in a band, and the boys came to the sunny side of Mt Egmont/Taranaki after i hit a sheep loose on the road, on my brothers bike, our guitarist waited when i went to get my goggles when the wind got up, when the boys from my band, dead silence turned up they brought me something i stull cherish as i had bn waiting for months for it- into the mirror on vinyl! Problem was after some deep, erotic record fondling, i had to give it ro them to take home and PIRATE!! This was before cds, and i had a walkman to listen to. Thankyou for your art, Warrel, you are dead right about the artist getting the scraps after the suits have feasted.... but without art, the human race would just be killing each other for fun. If you see Bebe Netanyahoo pass you in the following world, though he wont be going to the same destination, spit in his blue-haired face for me. I hope wherever you reside now, the pain we endure in this physical world doesn’t hurt so mucĥ at the journeys end. Chris H, New Zealand

I remember the last time I saw Nevermore. It was at Blondie's in Detroit. Warrel and Jim were not getting along that night - just before the breakup. As warrel was walking along the front of the stage, Jim hip checked warrel toward the crowd. All of us in the front row caught him. I only got to see Warrel in passing after the show. Hard to believe Warrel has been gone 5 years.

Just got into Nevermore again recently. What a unique band that was. You could never quite put them into a slot or attach one of the standard cliché subgenre labels to them. They covered so much ground from really heavy to technical and intricate to terrifyingly deep, emotional and human. That's the kind of Metal I like. Not much of that happening nowadays anymore. It's largely devolved to a point where most bands are just about a huge wall of sound, "teh br00talz" or nerdy gimmickry.
