I really liked how thorough you were and how much effort you put on explaining everything as simplistic as you could while also being very thorough. Not particularly time efficient, but exceptionally intuitive!

definitely the import goods is KEY to understand, from other games importing stuff makes you a deficit money wise, and I was going in to this game trying to stear away form importing because i thought it would drain my coffers, this is my first paradox game and it might be a paradox thing that importing also gives you money instead of costing, so I had really struggled making enough income just doing the tutorial, and it really doesn't explain it too well to new players, and i think there must be a lot of players like me out there coming into the game thinking that import is bad for your coffer... Very good job explaining the game to a newb like me, even though the game looks different somehow for me, must be different versions?
@danisstoned50253 жыл бұрын
Yep different versions buddy. They just released the 2.0 update which has changed a lot of things.

I think a marketplace can be worth, if you channel your exports to a specific province: export nothing directly out of the producing province, but first into your trade province wir marketplaces and then out, but it would be really time consuming to micro manage this in even a great power nation.

Thanks for the video. As a side note, can someone tell me why slaves produce taxes in this game? I mean is that based on any historic background? Or what is the bame abstracting with that mechanic?
@danisstoned50254 жыл бұрын
Your welcome Sebastian. My guess is that slaves in the ancient world were the driving force for most economies. Cheap labour, and most people (richest to the poorest) had a decent access to slaves.

Very useful video thanks! Do have one question though, do the bonuses in provinces stack? i.e. is it worth it to always trade away your excess resources to the AI or should I be more selective about when I let a resource go? I know it’s a bit different for your capital vs other provinces.
@danisstoned50254 жыл бұрын
Hey Throned how's it going? To answer your question, bonuses related to trade goods stack. For example each wine surplus in a province provides +1% to freeman hapiness, so let's say you have a surplus of 5 wine in a province, that means +5% to freeman hapiness in that province. Now my advice to you is to trade away excess ressources to AI for cash reasons (it's something like +0.32 gold per trade route). However, make sure you have at least 1 surplus of a ressource in your capital province because you get a nationwide bonus for having a surplus of a ressource in the capital. Another point I would make is concerning food goods, if a province barely makes enough food to feed it's self, do not trade away the surplus of food in that province. Hope that helps :)

people dont know how to make money, meanwhile i had an athens with all the territories from sparta to thrace and i made 40g per month and i had no clue what i was doing right(well i didnt have a big enough army, i was with 40ships and 50cohorts), and thats why im here...

Thanks for the video. One question: an export request will pop-up if you have a surplus of a certain good/food. Is there a possibility to export too much food (and famines will occur)?
@danisstoned50255 жыл бұрын
Your welcome Rick. To answer your question, in a way, yes. If you export your food ressources and you no longer have enough food to feed your pops in a certain province, the province food bar will start to decrease each month until it reaches 0. Thats when the famine kicks in and then pops start dying. Hope that answers your question Rick. Have a great evening and a good Christmas 😊

I am currently playing with Rome and nearly all my characters have 100% corruption and therefor I don't make any money (high salaries). Any idea how to change this?
@danisstoned50254 жыл бұрын
Hi Fabian, the easiest way would be to change the governor. Replace the corrupt individual with someone that has no corruption. If you can't do that because the governor is disloyal, bring the dude to trial, his high corruption will increase your chances of sending him to prison. Hope that all helps :)

Hi Thomas, I don't build slaves estates because farming settlement provide a bigger bonus to food output which is really vital.

How do I invest to make new trade routes
@danisstoned50254 жыл бұрын
You need to spend PI (political influence) to entice business investments. I think the base cost is 80 PI and it can be reduced with various inventions. The button is located on every city and settlement interface (there are a series of 4 buttons are on the right side of each settlement and city interface, just select the business investments one). After 2 years you should have an extra trade route available 👍

The only thing you can auto-manage is trade. Buildings you have to do yourself. I will do a guide to buildings soon 😊
