When your suing for peace, suing for peace with the war-leader will end the ENTIRE war, however if you go to sue for peace and on the right side of the box choose another country that is not a vassal, you can end the war just with them, basically meaning you annex them but stay in war with the other countries. Also when you totally dominate a country, (occupying all their cities) you can sue for peace no matter what even if it wont appear as them wanting to accept the deal. In all wars however you can never sue for peace in a deal that costs more than 100 war-score.

why settle for being allies with carthage? with your manpower and Apulia at your back (after they've recovered) there's a much bigger prize you could set your sights on. take advantage of the chaos in the south, take Egypt and its bounties all for yourself! you'll not only gain camels and horses, you'll also open up several trade routes and (most importantly) surround phrygia. and there's no way phrygia can survive a war with you on two fronts. this is of course after you just straight up eat macedon. I mean, you already have the fleet to do this, and both sides of the war in egypt are running low on money and manpower, so go and claim the delta for yourself!

@@safehavenonice6431 Taking on a Tribal Vassal increases their rate of civilization, which means they'll be quicker to tribal government with a Monarchy or a Democracy. Once they do, they become a vassal that you can integrate. Unfortunately, this takes an absolute shitton of time, and I've yet to pull it off without running out of patience.
