Water is so good for grounding anxious energy, especially sea water. I love walking in the sea water, it calms me down. You are blessed to live close to such good beaches! Holy smokes dolphins… I have never seen them this close.. Good on you for taking time for yourself.. don’t they say, you can’t pour from an empty cup. These little moments are what fills your cup so you can be there for youself and your partners. Enjoy the weekend❤

A major reason we chose to move to the coast! I love nature and the ocean - San Diego is perfect for both hiking in mountains and hills as well as reconnecting with water! By far the most dolphins I have ever seen before! So true with the saying you reminded us of! This is me refilling my cup 🥰

Hello Jess! Joining with you in your hiking adventures just by yourself or someone else is always a welcome treat for me. I love how you connect with nature and make us feel like we are along with you hiking. Sometimes, I like to think that if I were living in San Diego and knew each other as we do now through social media, you and I would probably go for a lot of friendly hiking together since hiking is something I love to do. Oh! The dolphins (my favorite sea mammal) and all the wildlife were a treat. @@steellio5526 San Diego waters have issues at times from storm runoff and we know not to go into the water for about a week after rain hits. Sewage spills are more rare from within the USA though. The pollution and sewage from Mexico is severe and far exceeds any USA pollution. This area - Imperial Beach - has requested an emergency declaration… I looked it up and Mexico pollution has caused these beaches to be closed to swimming for 850 days… with no end in sight 😢 so sad

Love your videos!! Hey, I just wanted to correct you on something you said in this video... You said there's development all along the coast in California, that's not quite true, especially north of Santa Barbara, it's pretty much nothing but beautiful coastline with very little development! Also, the coastline north of San Francisco, there is hardly any development along the coast! 😉

No, where I was at the mouth of the river is about 1.5 miles (2.4km) to the Mexico Border. I planned on going all the way up the beach to the border but didn’t want to get in the contaminated river water 😢 It’s difficult to see in the video… There is a 30 ft high (9 m) wall that extends 300 ft (90 m) into the Ocean at the border. It’s very dangerous - the metal wall combined with riptides from current disruption cause it to be one of the most dangerous spots for anyone to attempt to cross. Many have drowned trying to illegally swim around it.

July 8th 2024.Every year, billions of gallons of toxic pollution flow across the U.S./Mexico border down the Tijuana River, bringing untreated sewage, hazardous industrial chemicals and trash into the Tijuana Estuary and Pacific Ocean. This pollution has led to years of beach closures in Imperial Beach and Coronado, and growing threats to public health from waterborne and airborne pathogens, and severe impacts to valuable coastal and marine habitats and the local economy.

lol, we go to Mexico regularly. Our Extended family lives in Monterrey and Saltillo. Our favorite Vacation Spots are Puerto Vallarta, Cancun, and Cozumel. Our Vet is across the border in Tijuana and is fantastic with caring for our pets! Our Mexican family members actually worry about coming to the USA because of all of our violent mass shooting incidents. To them, our country is not safe.
