I gotta say both of these carriers are good. they were converted from japanese ocean liners. but that again Hiyo was sunk in the battle of the philippine sea due to a gasoline leak caused from one torpedo from a US Avenger torpedo bomber. The Junyo took part in Santa Cruz, it was damage but never repaired and it survived the war.

I Actually glad Junyo survied till 1946 but after thaat she scrapped.

these light carriers looked more like fleet carriers and in our universe there really useful

True to me they were more of a medium carrier compared to tbe soryu and side sister hiryu

I thought they were fleet carriers.

They were as big as typical fleet carriers however carried less planes (usually 40-50) and were slower (about 26 knots).
