I am glad ISG is back in the meta, mostly thanks to monks and mauls. I am certainly enjoy fighting them over stalwarts anytime.

Since the t4 are going to be re introduced soon I've been looking my unit veterancies and doctrines, and it made me think, I'm currently using them bottom vet with "basic" epic spear doctrines and full mastery, by upgrading their doctrines, at the cost of "some" block I will gain a "few" different % damage reductions, around 1k health, and some flat damage reduction, I wonder if switching to top line will make them tankier since it also has many different kinds of % damage reduction and some block

As far as I remember they lose push back with the top line which is one of their important bits. I guess it would be worth retesting to see if it's worth it with mastery

Really fun unit with my longsword. I can last quite a while clogging up everything. Double heals really negates a lot of damage.

Any tips on how to play with them? Ive been using them for a while now but I usually just get absolutely destroyed by a swarm of monks or 8 heros.

Well, if you get swarmed by 8 heroes then you are probably out of position ;) I think that my isg guide is still mostly correct kzbin.info/www/bejne/lXiagp2mj9-EpKs. In general ISG are for tanking/ccing so you are better off following some damaging units to tank for them or to protect things like flamers (but don't afk in the backline when team fights on the point)

Monks are just sorta busted strong as line breakers atm too.

@@musicheaven1679 Well they are current season, best you can do is hope to bait them out and pound them with ranged hero damage. If they couldn't block whilst attacking that might make em less annoying.

there is no units in the game that can save you from getting swarm by 8 heroes dude. ISG are good as long as you can make up for their lack of dps

Man I have a healing doctrine, but it doesnt allow me to equip on 4* imperial spears, only allow 3* units.

Imperial spears have healing from veterancy, that's why you can't put it on them

This unit should have been the defense meta insted of myrllions who are meta in defense as well as atkin.

I don't think myrms are that good in defense. For me myrms are a sword and shield (they actually have swords and shields xd) disguised as tower shields.

Only if you are getting hitin meanwhile because they get a cc resistance each 3 hits recived so you need to bee recibing hits for geting that bonus

@@rikrishshrestha5421 Actually, it's not that bad - isg are quite mobile so you can just move away when you see myrms coming. Maybe they will hit half of your unit, but afterwards they have nothing so you can kill them so you have a good trade ;)
