It's not making fun of America alone, despite using American terminology ironically. It's more calling out Capitalism, corruption and elitist societies (as you can see the numerous references to Freemasonry, Skull & Bones and Illuminati) and their repercussions and ripples across all other aspects of our existence- across the world and through time. It's an incredibly pertinent song and video. And it's so fucking well executed.

I love this song but my god have they gotten better live. More recent videos of this are much tighter, Sam is more on point and the way they extend the ending is pure gold. I think Josh is an amazing guitarist but I think once they got Adam they really started to tighten up, that guy is so precise and him and Tom synched up so well live.
