I know that there a huge amount of audio issues in this episode. These will be fixed for the next one.
In this episode we try to hunt for a wandering trader to get some wood. Maybe we get it, maybe we don't.

Hi, just wanted to give you a few tips (this is all my comments combined): Combining two tools in the crafting table gives a 5% durability bonus. 4:43 the bucket of pufferfish also creates water when used. If you drop a fox rabbit meat, it will pick it up and drop the emerald.

Also, wandering traders can sell podzol, so infinite dirt is possible cause once you get the trade, you can do piglin trading for gravel, course dirt, hoe, jump on, repeat for infinity dirt. Even though moss does the same thing it doesnt have the same feel so yea

So i dont know if anyone pointed it out but the wandering trader sold the fish in a bucket which is a water source in an iron bucket, he couldve farmed all those foxes for emeralds and skipped the zombie iron farm to cauldron progression

@@Kikou4293 Foxes are one of only 3 mobs that can spawn on snow blocks during day, so that boosts their spawn rates, and you can buy the bucket from the trader twice. Also you can trade with foxes by using food so you don't have to risk them dying or dying yourself from misstep.

Did you know that the tropical fish buckets can be used as a water bucket? It is just a water bucket that spawns a fish with it when you use it.

Hey man, good series, I’d recommend a couple things though; - get yourself software that can capture the last x minutes of gameplay, like nvidia’s instant replay, this way you don’t have to be recording all the time and can get the important parts on video - don’t doxx yourself like you did by showing your spotify in this vid lol, pretty sure you’ll be able to cut that out w/the youtube editor function and you don’t have to delete the vid - as someone else said, let us know what the plans for the series are to make it easier to follow - and this is just kinda my personal preference, but I really liked the look of the videos with the default textures on a 100% vanilla build of the game. I have a feeling many people watch series’ like these because it’s a bit of a throwback to simpler times of letsplays and such, having that default minecraft look definitely increased the vibe factor Probably gonna binge watch the next 2 episodes rn, looking forward to more, goodluck

its because the farm exists at perfect spawning conditions since theres no other loaded spawnable spaces since its skyblock and its at the bottom of the world where mobs spawn most, if someone were to build this in a normal world it would likely do very little

Maybe it’s just me but I’m enjoying the journey of learning to edit as the series is being made. It’s not often that a video concept is so captivating that it thrusts a new creator in a position of working out the growing pains of starting a channel while thousands of people watch. It would not have made sense to get water before getting wood. If he bought the water bucket, sure he has water now, but he has no wood to build the mob grinder; the mob farm was his primary source of iron since betting on chance to get a wandering trader for buckets is inefficient. He only needed a singular trade from a trader, and that was moss blocks, because from then on, he would have access to wood and more dirt; on the contrary, if he tried for bucket trades, he would have spent more time afk-ing for traders than the smarter and more efficient option of going with moss trade. After he got moss, he just followed the primary path of progression from moss, to azalea, to wood, to mob farm, to iron, to cauldrons and buckets, to waiting for rain, to water bottles, to water source, to infinite water. Makes much more sense to follow this line of progression than to aimlessly wait for more wandering traders.

It's probably hard to understand tho, English in all it's glory can be very confusing.

To explain how the mob farm works Spawning-There are 3 layers, he put trap doors to stop spiders from spawning bc they can't fit in the kill chamber. Pathfinding-He's taking advantage of mobs' tendency to pathfind to solid blocks by putting fucktons of blocks on the opposite side. Goal- get as much iron from zombies.

congrats on getting water and wood! But I want so say a few things 1. Sadly generally the audio was pretty messed up mostly the game was too loud 2. I'm not sure if it's possible but could you calculate when the next wondering trader will spawn and then just make a backup right before the tick is reached so you can rejoin everytime? 3. On the part when you put the volume down because the mob sounds were so loud you could have put it up way sooner I hope you know this isn't meant to bring you down I just want to help! Great video otherwise too!

1. Yeah sadly I did not realise this till after this was recorded, this cannot be fixed without rerecording all the material again :/ 2. I'm not sure what you mean, there's a 7.5% that a wandering trader spawns after having 3 failed attempts. This clock rolls in modular 1200 ticks, and I believe it is reset every time you rejoin, so when you rejoin you have to wait a minimum of 1 minute before the spawn attempt completes. 3. Yup as I said if I bring the audio of the ingame down my voice goes down aswell. Just really bad preperation from me. Sorry. Np. hope you enjoyed.

I think it's a really beautiful moment when you finally got your first wood block in this world. Punching trees is an experience every minecraft player has when they start a survival world, they know it as the first step, but here in this twisted place where the only block you started with was a single grass block, it's such a different experience to finally take that "first step" after all the time and work you put into getting there in the first place.

My man could have saved a ton of time by re-rolling the wandering trader until he gave a trade for moss and a bucket with fish/tropical fish/puffefish. That way there wouldn't even be a need for cauldrons, and even withour bonemealing the water to get seagrass, a single cauldron woul've done it without even waiting for rain at all. The fact that things like this are even posible show how crazy this game is.

@@merrillphilips1117 but he only needed one block of moss, he had 5 emeralds, minus 1 for a single block of moss and he only needed one more emerald, and could've gotten the water source block right away, wouldn't have needed to farm for gold at all, as he can just bone meal the water current, and that gives a seagrass, which turns the current in a source block, meaning, infinite water instantly. Which also means access to cobble is he just goes looking for the stronghold. Access to cobble means furnaces, which can be used to smelt the cobble into regular stone, which can then be turned into more moss. Unless I'm missing something, that seems like a more efficient way to go about that stuff

i agree it was very loud, but if you've ever akf'd in minecraft then you know how dangerous it is to be around mobs. so my guess is since he is afk-ing a ton he wants to know when mobs spawn so he can put his attention on the game instead of the youtube video or stream he's watching.

I would assume he got the glowstone from witches as well, he's not exactly trying to be 100% resource efficient but I doubt he wasted that many emeralds on just glowstone

u could buy the fish water bucket and kelp for infinite kelp blocks and u can scale this up whenever the kelp grows lol, you can use bonemeal to grow the kelp more while also buying rooted dirt from the wandering trader, idk if u can place kelp on it tho but u can turn it back into dirt by turning it into a path block im pretty sure then mining it

Summary of progress: • Got a second grass block • Got water • Got chickens • Got wood and built an entire base including a house and an eco-friendly all wood mob farm and basically got to mid game with just that one sapling and willpower alone
