Love the idea...but my schedule changes so much that I need the most current copy of my google calendar at all times. Wish it could be embedded in OneNote but I don't see Google and Microsoft adding that feature anytime soon. lol.

NOT just for decorating or "making pretty!" Please watch this to the end! She does NOT simply cut and paste an image. This is an EDITABLE, CUSTOMIZABLE table that you add to as you wish with all of your appointments, reminders, etc. already inserted for you. I like to use OneNote offline quite a bit for pretty much everything, so having a copy of my Google calendar would be very useful. BUT, for me, it all came together at the end when she showed how to use this method to create a WEEKLY SPREAD (18:30). So very useful and time SAVING! I also much appreciate the "hack" for resizing table columns (10:30), something I always struggle with in OneNote. I just found your chanel this morning and am loving all your digital planning videos. Thank you so much, and more please! 😊

Looks great and I learned a few tips and tricks. OneNote has a built in snip tool that command driven. Hold down these keys: windows key +shift + s (+ is not literal). I'm not sure I'd go to all the trouble to import and make it pretty. I'd use the screen capture to grab the calendar from the website and then paste it into OneNote. Then set image as background. You are done in 10 seconds! No as pretty, but it gets the job done.

WOW, this is one lengthy process to get the cal to one note. Another quick way you can do is to print cal and select OneNote as printer and print as pdf you will see you cal in OneNote.

TJ Chaudhry A bigger question is why do you want a redundant view of your calendar in OneNote in the first place. You end up with version issues (may not match). I was looking for OneNote task drag and drop into Outlook calendar or Google Calendar and neither can do that (nor can Evernote, nor even Google Tasks) which is a big part of daily sprint planning.

This does not import a Google calendar but rather a printout of it as of the day you printed it. It's a bad admin choice to duplicate your calendar and have two independent sets of events, appts, etc.

Hi is there a way to sync changes in onenote that can impact google calender to change and vice versa as well?

Not that I know of. This is more of a one-way, one-time transfer to keep from having to re-type it all.

Honestly I haven't looked at it in a while. I have gone back and forth on a lot of things and come up with a layout that I like so I basically copy it week to week and then I just individually copy and paste my appointments from my Google calendar to my OneNote. I have a couple of weekly recurring events so I just leave them on there.

Doesn't seem to work any more. The last step of preparing before download just sits and spins for at least an hour and never comes back. I'm guessing the recent changes to the Google API killed this product along with so many others. BAD GOOGLE.

Hmmm. I'm not sure which devices/apps you are using, but I just tried to download my current month's calendar and all seemed to work ok. I'm using Chrome and I tried downloading in PDF and RTF format.

No it’s not live data. It’s meant to be a one time download so you can pretty it up without having to manually type in everything. I don’t think Google data is ever going to be live in a Microsoft product or vice versa

So does that mean I can't have a copy of my bosses calendar taken from his Outlook calendar into onenote and keep updating it as it changes? Do I have to do it manually? Sorry ... just starting to use onenote with a new boss.

@@Jenniferfilmer as far as I know there's not a way to get a calendar put into OneNote that will be dynamic. This video was just a demonstration of getting the info from the Google calendar and importing it into OneNote as static info to get started to make a pretty planner.

Way too much work, trouble, and time. And, it does not sync if there are changes to your google calendar.
