Import PDF/DWG/JPEG Technical drawings to SketchUp in 1:1 with lines

This is a brilliant technique, most people don't know about it. I saw another CAD techncian using Inkscape instead of Illustrator but it's basically the same method. Thanks a lot.

This is very useful, thank you. I use sketchup 8 basic and it only imports basic image formats but it is still useful for me as I have 2-d scale drawings that I can use as a guide now to make sketchup models quickly. The scaling trick is very useful too. Thanks for posting.
