Alluding to this, Swami says in Jnana Vaahini that there really is no limitation or restriction of 'Jivi' on the Atma or Self, the Atma or Self is ever free, to think the Atma or Self is bound, limited or restricted is ignorance,Maya or Mind, and Self-realization is only the realisation that the Atma or Self is ever free, to be realised when the desires that are responsible for ignorance are overcome.He also adds that to qualify for self -realisation one needs to have extraordinary qualities, equanimity,lack of craving for the objects of the senses,desire-lessness, non-attachment etc.
