In Weredad, I found it interesting how at first, Adrien thought that Marinette got akumatize because of him, which is why when he burst into the apartment, he sounded very guilty for hurting Marinette's feelings. Still, until Sabine told him that it was actually Tom that was akumatize, he calmed down a bit of seeing that it wasn't Marinette and confused a little. And when it did happen, he ran to try and fix the problem compared to the other time Kagami got akumatize like yes, he was worried, but it wasn't the extent that he had for Marinette when he thought it was her who got akumatized. This boy is in love and blind, my poor sunshine boy.

There's a reason why things ended badly between him and Kagami. She likes Marinette as a friend, and her first true female friend... It's more like she got annoyed that Adrien kept bringing Marinette along on their dates. Adrien had no clue that he was filtering his entire relationship with Kagami through Marinette. I call this the "Marinette filter". This is based off of Dick Grayson, whenever he is dating another girl like Starfire, he would choose locations, movies and restaurants that Barbara Gordon would like, and these wouldn't be the same things that the other girls would like. The other Titans would tell Dick that he needs to be honest about his feelings. Hell, his friends called it the "Barbara filter" Adrien didn't realise he was doing the same thing. He was completely clueless that he was having an emotional affair with Marinette and Ladybug. This sounds like I'm slandering Adrien, but he needed to focus on what he wanted, and his hormones have him confused. It's why after the breakup, when he and Kagami made peace, she worried about him like he was her younger brother, as seen in "Glaciator 2". She knows he loves Marinette. And she gets frustrated with Marinette's doubts and tries to tell her to be honest with herself. His feelings for Marinette confuse him and it gets in his way of truly establishing a proper relationship with her. I often use the term "imprinting" when it comes to him. He is imprinting what he likes in a girl from his first day with Marinette. It's weird, but that's love.

I agree I always felt like he used Kagame. And I don't mean in a malicious way. I don't think he even realized he was doing it. But Kagame has the same hair color, is confident and in control. He probably saw many of the things he loves about ladybug in her. So when plagg says hey what about try someone else and Kagame directly asks him to change targets he takes it. It was a safe choice because he knew he wouldn't face rejection she took control...unfortunately she took control like his dad does so it was never a good partnership.

Everytime Adrien goes to make some sort of guess as to who ladybug is, he always guesses Marinette, so maybe there's some part of him that hopes it's her. Oh, and also, in the episode with Gorizilla, he doesn't just call it a 'lucky charm", he calls it "my MARINETTE lucky charm". Idk if that's relevant but I feel it has more meaning than just calling it a lucky charm, plus she obviously knows where he got it from.

So they've done Cat Blanc and Ephemeral, where they discovered their "obsessed" attraction, through learning their secret identities. I won't call it love, because it was more like realising, their obsession behind the mask. I'm more interested in seeing Adrienette, fall for each other, just as themselves. Completely separate to their superhero identities. Then have to make excuses for running off, whenever an akumatised victim appears. Would either of them, give up as easily on each other - as they did on Luka and Kagami? Would the running joke between them (and their friends) become literally, who's going to run-off first, with the lamest excuse? Unlike how the episode, Cat Blanc played out, I reckon Adrien would try to keep his relationship secret from his father. Like no public engagements together. As he'd be too terrified his father would reject her. They'd make excuses like, there's a class project they need to do together, which requires them watching a film at the cinema. Or planning a fashion shoot where Andre the Ice-cream maker is expected. Tearing his costume, and asking Mari for a quick repair. So he can tell his father, she happened to be there and helped him out - so he bought her an ice-cream to thank her. I'd love to see a whole season where Adrienette and their cohorts of accomplices, try to fool Gabriel, what his son is really up to. I've always found it entertaining, when they all try to fool his bodyguard, to get to Adrien. It would continue building the tension, for when Gabriel does inevitably find out. Because we all know what happened in Cat Blanc.

Just wanted to say, the lyric that you quote as "But why is my heart away, I can feel a warmth in my soul, a thrill as a lucky charm", is actually more like: "But why, if my heart is elsewhere, do I feel a warmth in my soul, a thrill that brings me luck?" It is pretty clear that he is wondering why, if he is in love with ladybug, he is having feelings for someone else (probably Marinette), which is a recurring theme in the song. He feels like he needs to run away from his feelings because he doesn't want to be unfaithful, and yet he cannot understand why he feels the way he does, or what his heart is trying to tell him. "I don't understand what I want, I cannot fall in love, where does this mysterious feeling come from?" What I find the most interesting about the song is how at the end they both feel a sense of "it will be okay" and say they will wait for the other, they love eath other to infinity, and it sounds as if they know their identities and have spoken about it but are not able to be together yet. It also sounds as if they know they will be together soon. I hope so anyways!

Yes Adrien cares A LOT about Marinette more than any of his friends but New York is where he started falling in love with Marinette it grew more in Risk, hopefully there will be more growth in season 5 and hopefully his dad cares about his happiness more than himself When he thinks that he lost Ladybug's🐞 friendship in Kuro Niko he doesn't try to fix it, he takes off his ring and leaves then in Risk he mopes about Ladybug knocking him down from second in command where Master Fu intended them to be as co-partners to just another Miraculous holder he starts to turn his affections toward Marinette, if Marinette would have been clear in the New York special they would be together already I hope when the writers finally bring Marinette and Adrien together as a couple that we get to see the courtship for at least a season or two before the show ends
