Well, the children used for Bigger Bodies were tested on a lot. Like their smartness, physical capabilities and other stuff(plus we know Playcare had real school). All of them were around 8-12 age when put into toys, and 15 years passed since then, they're pretty much all adults now. But it's your AU, so I'm just gonna leave it here for the others :D

Well Catnap is actually a child they explained that in the tape and in the trailer about the photo with the kid name Theodore Grambell is 7-year old before he became Capnap who is part of the Biggest Bodies. The reason why Catnap is Theodore probably because he is a kid who is easy to be manipulated him. Treat the others hertics like Dogday if he is a employee the prototype wouldn't save him.
