Omg thank you!!!! I have been so afraid because I am experiencing redness on the bottom of one eye where the pad was really uncomfortable but it's my fault cus I didnt say anything to her. I felt burning on one eye which is the eye that is now red

This just happened to me, and I immediately knew what it was ( I’m a lash tech my self) because I could kind of feel the pads ... such a bummer... my eyeballs are so sore at the bottom and it’s literally giving me a headache 🤕. I don’t usually get my own lashes done so I didn’t even think it would be this bad .... I feel bad for not letting the tech know though as well, I think I just wanted to get it over with so I just “got through it”.... moral of the story if you’re a client: communicate 😅

@@eyelashexcellence-frankiew3464 Thank you, yeah it definitely took a full 4 days I would say for it to chill out completely. All good though now and I definitely learned to communicate more as a client and as a lash tech WITH my clients, when placing the under eye patches and just being more mindful in general!

@@AlexandraJavor So glad this cleared up from this set of eyelash extensions, I think correct eye pad application is something many struggle with over the years and although the lash pads may look like they fit fine, actually the client must instruct if not to assist that artist. But phew, glad you are now ok xx

How do you manage with clients with super high cheekbones? I have a client who's cheeks literally start right under her eyes, maybe a bit heavier, and the pads push into her eyes.....tape is tricky too. Suggestions would be great

This explains what happened to me last week. Spent my whole cruise vacay in so much pain and my eyes stayed red! My eyes are almond shaped tho. I’m still confused on how the tech would apply the eye pad on my shape eye cause obviously it did not fit or apply easily as you say on this video if my eyes bruised? Please help me understand so I can advice her on my fill set coming up. Thanks!
@eyelashexcellence-frankiew3464 Жыл бұрын
I am sorry to hear of this experience you had, especially on vacation, how awful for you. So it could be that the pad they had did not fit your eye shape, so if your eye is almond, then it could have been too round for you. However most likely it was placed incorrectly, or not adjusted correctly when you closed your eye. Did you talk during the treatment, or do anything that could have caused your cheeks to move and then change the fit of the pad? Sadly, sometimes this can be a contra-action that can happen and why as a lash artist I don't lash anyone immediately prior to any big event, vacation etc. At your next apt (and I am sure you will) just explain what happened and for any future lash artists to be extra careful and ensure they check the pad is fitted correctly and to continue checking through the treatment to make sure it hasn't moved. HTH XX

What if you cut your gelpad to the shape of the eye? could you do that? (I'm not an eyelash tech but really want to do the course but first I check all your videos and have a good research before I start anything)

Hi Frankie, how do you repair the eye lashes who stick together? Actually i have horrible experience, i'm doing the eyelash extention and then my top eyelashes and the bottom eyelashes is srick together. And than she cut my bottom eyelashes! 😣
@kirstyn22856 жыл бұрын
Thank you for posting this informational video but I wish I saw this before my first lash experience about 10 days ago. When she put the pad on the bottom I mentioned how it felt like it was rubbing against my eye and she said it's supposed to be as close as possible and tried to adjust it a bit more. It did feel better but I could still feel it. The entire time my eyes were watering and they aren't sensitive like that at all. At certain points I could feel burning in my eye and it was constant non-stop watering. When she was done I couldn't open one eye all the way because of some glue sticking to my bottom lashes. Both of my eyes felt sore and were bloodshot red. The next day, the bloodshot was on the bottom half of my eyes for about 4 days. They were very uncomfortable, feeling like there was something in my eye. She didn't explain to not get the lashes wet for at least 24 hours so my bf being concerned about my eyes, got me some eye drops to moisturize and reduce redness. I started using them the next day and it immediately made them feel better but didn't do much for the redness. On the 4th day of red eyes pon closer inspection to my eye that constantly felt lile something was in it, was actually 2 of my natural lashes poking my eyeball. I know It was bad but I plucked it out and it felt much better right after. The next day the redness disappeared and I started loving them after that. I think she did a good job with the application but didn't explain the process, didn't explain the importance of keeping the eyes shut to avoid the glue fumes and didn't check up on me to see how my eyes were doing. I felt like she pushed me off to the side once she found out I was having issues. She jusy mentioned it would be red for 2-3 days even though other people told me their redness went away after a few hours. The reason why I waited so long to decide to take them off was because I selfishly wanted them for my birthday which was a week after the initial application. I'm just thankful it was nothing more than irritation but now I am more educated in picking who I go to. 👍

Hi Frankie :) For the first time in my lash career I've had a client with a bruised eye ball :( Is there any advice I could pass on to her to look after it? She says it is not sore, but it is very red in the photograph she sent. Is there anything she can do, or does she just wait it out?

Do you usually tape and use pads?
@eyelashexcellence-frankiew34646 жыл бұрын
Personally I use a small piece of magic tape (which is gentle on the skin, I sell this on my shop) on the inner lower lashes only, I then use the pad to secure the rest of the lashes down and once their eyes are shut I readjust the outer corner of the pad by shifting it down slightly so that it is not cutting up into the eye.

sadly no as it sounds like you are intolerant to the cyanoacrylate in the adhesive and all contain that ingredient, therefore you will always react.

@eyelashexcellence-frankiew34647 жыл бұрын
Sadly it sounds like you are allergic to the cyanoacrylate in the glue and it is present in every glue. We have no glues that do not contain it because its perfect for the job and safe - although as you have experienced some clients are intolerant to it. When you are allergic to any product its very rare to be able to overcome that and the only way really is to avoid that product im afraid :(

Hi, I am also allergic as well as a trained lash tech. I started experiencing the same issues when lashing my clients. The only relief I found was to wear a half face respirator with carriages. It seems extreme and I guess it is but I can lash now without the allergic reactions.
