Call me cynical but is this just HP's way of scaring or forcing a firmware update to stop people using third party compatible consumables.

why do we need all these updates, why cant we just leave well enough alone ? i get asked that questions lots , if you do , what do you tell your customers about updates and why we need them ?

@@WCT also , i had another comment , thought i would run it by you , i think it would be better if the updates ran in the background and the end user never even sees them , just my opinion maybe right ,marby wrong , also i watch and enjoy your videos regularly .

@@WCT im curious , why cant the just take the bad guys aside and say "dont do that anymore" sometimes it seems like an update will patch 1 securiety hole but then open another or an update will break something and its this constant thing of a cat chasing its tail , i have asked that question and no one has ever given a straight answer?

The 4527 Envy hasn’t had a firmware update since Dec 2020.. is this likely to be a problem?

You need to check the manufacturer's website to see if there's updated firmware for your device if not then it might be because your device is too old or it might not be affected by the security flaws

OMG i am so sick of this. I have had printer problems for over a year. Between Microsoft and now HP I just want to take a sledgehammer to both the laptop and the printer.

Do not download. It breaks the printer. It forces owner to buy only hp brand ink. Not a good move. Monopoly in place. I will never buy hp again

my hp printer does not work any more so i guess i dont need the lastest updates no adobe flash no updates from hp anymore
