Please note:: at 53:18 the pressure at the end should be taken as 900kpa as from 900kpa to 1000kpa the piston does not move hence no work was done. So it will affect the work calculation, and then finally heat calculation also

Sir work done at 53.26 sec in confusing.... Because final pressure 1000 kpa reach at const volume (from 900 to 1000kpa)...So only 100 to 900 kpa it should be linear then 900 to 1000 kpa vertical line parallel to pressure axis.

@amrinder204
@amrinder204 3 жыл бұрын
you are absolutely correct. It is a mistake on my part, we should calculate work by taking the pressure as 900kpa instead of 1000 . So accordingly the answer of work will be modified and also the Heat answer will be modified.

Sir in third que the why we didn’t take final pressure 900 kPa to calculate work on piston because after 900 kpa piston will not move due to stopper
@PradeepSharma-xx6ys
@PradeepSharma-xx6ys 3 жыл бұрын
We just check whether piston hit or not the stoppers.. but.. actual pressure is given in qn. Is 1000kpa so we hv to calculate acc to qn.

in 3rd question can anyone explain in brief why piston will touch the stops as i m quite confused.
@amrinder204
@amrinder204 3 жыл бұрын
Piston will touch the stops because the final pressure is more the pressure we calculated when the piston will just reach the stopper

Sir I have a doubt in 3rd question in that we have taken that spring is initially compressed, How we could know that spring is initially compressed it may be elongated also since both initial pressure of cylinder and ambient pressure are same
@prateekshrivastava6665
@prateekshrivastava6665 3 жыл бұрын
Initially pressure inside and outside cylinder are same so to balance weight of piston spring will give upward force (i. e. Elongated spring) so we get kx1 = mg. When spring reaches stopper it stores energy for x-x1 distance. Pf*A = Po*A+k(x-x1)+mg...And put mg=kx1. You will get same value for pressure 900kPa.
