Important Scales to Learn on the Baritone Ukulele

Some of the most common keys in popularly played music are C Major, A Major, G Major, E Major, and D Major, which you can remember with the word "CAGED". Learning the Major and Major pentatonic scales in those keys is a great place to start (ESPECIALLY C, G, and D Major), and playing with jam tracks (link below) makes it so much more fun!
Later on you can learn their relative minor scales and then the blues scales for each of those keys and you'll be well on your way! It's all easy to see with a Fretboard Toolbox Complete Baritone Ukulele book.

I just received my baritone ukulele, and this helped a lot. I'm trying to learn the Rule of the Octave on both the tenor and baritone. Between that and Pentatonic scales it's a nice way to learn the fretboard. Merci beaucoup.

Some have said that the E Minor Pentatonic Scale is the most important one to learn as it is the building block, I don't really know yet as I am just learning these but they also talk about shapes and to learn the five shaped? Do you know what shapes they are talking about? I have the Fretboard toolboxes for C and D tuning on the ukuleles and am using them to learn the scales but need to figure out what the shapes are. Keep Strumming.
