As of 9.0, the Sunsong Ranch intro quest to remove stones for Farmer Yoon is unlocked at level 15, regardless of any other Pandaria questing. When I start a new character, my path is usually: 1. Starting Zone (Levels 1-10) 2. Draenor Intro Questline until I get Garrison Hearthstone (Levels 10-15) 3. Mage Port to Vale of Eternal Blossoms and ride to Halfhill for Flight Path. (Levels 15+) You open more of the plots of land through gaining reputation and doing quests for the Tillers faction. Quick warning for low level toons, all but a couple of the Tiller dailies require flying. So, you'll need a friend or an alt on an additional account to give you a lift until the Ranch is completely unlocked. It takes about 2 to 3 weeks to unlock your first time through, but there is an item sold by the Tillers quartermaster that doubles Tiller rep gains account wide by 100%, making all subsequent unlocks happen after about a week.

So glad I found your content. Some of the best guides I’ve come across. For Sunsong Ranch, all you have to do is talk to Farmer Yoon ( I think that’s his name) and he’ll ask you to move 8 boulders. This start the rep quests and dailies for the Tillers. Once you reach exalted you have 16 plots to farm. All my Alta that aren’t farming something on a regular basis are parked in Halfhill to work the ranch. About 3 or 4 minutes a day on each alt. It’s easy gold, or in my case easy trillium for crafting the panther mounts.

You make this game so much more fun! In this video I learned that the gnomish knife replaces ALL crafting tools! Whoa, what a saver! I feel so dumb for not knowing that before, because I have used those for the harvesting tool replacement. Plus, you pointed out to me how to get that missing Dalaran hearthstone I needed! Get the SKy Golem mount if you have herbaslism. It's a must for herbers

I have an alt army going too... if you want to optimize things a tad bit more, as soon as you hit lvl 30 and get flying, head straight to the Sunsong ranch and do the short quest line to start unlocking all your plots and do the dailies. It usually takes about a week of just doing the dailies to get exalted with Tillers and all the plots unlocked. It also gets you from lvl 30 to 40 or so.. and maybe more if you pick herbs/ores since there's plenty in that zone. If you want to optimize things further, you can look on wowhead to see what seeds to plant daily for the next farmer's quest line to get their recommendation.. which will help you save a few days of having to wait for the plants the following day. It's great having your toons parked here during love dungeon week as you can farm the ranch while waiting on your dungeon queue.

To the best of my recollection, Sunsong Ranch is unlocked by just progressing through the Valley of the Four Winds storyline. Once you arrive in Halfhill you should get the starter quest.

As Leonie mentions, you can go straight to Halfhill. Just need to do the quest chain with Farmer Yoon and the tiller's dailies for a few days (maybe a week or 2) to unlock all the plots.

Forgot to say when you are revered you can get a grand commendation which increases the reputation gained on all of your. Characters for that faction because of this the second time ist faster😄

Mine mostly exists for mount farming. I don't make huge profits off the army itself (though my friend has 8 level 60s running callings). In Legion it was insanely lucrative with Argus gold missions but it's been dialed down now, callings might be decent income if you're into gearing max level alts.

Oh my, your bank is so organized and clean, i probably should at one point clean up my bank for all of my characters but whenever i open it, i get nauseous and close it right after i throw some more junk in there. One day, i will clean my bags, but that day, is not today.

I'm currently working on my own alt army and by far the most time consuming part is the UI stuff. I like to make mine unique and different color variants for my different classes. Not to mention all the macros I have to make, especially for my healer specs. Thanks for another great video! Looking forward to that Garrison video in the future.

Sunsong Ranch is unlocked through series of quest that a reputation gated, takes about 7-8 days to unlock the full farm slots at exalted rep

Sunsong Ranch takes 12 days of daily quests to unlock the first time (less if you have any kind of rep buff), half that once you have at least 1 character done so you can buy the Grand Commendation (unlocks double rep with the faction) 👍 Source: I have so many farms, y'all. It's a problem 😬🙃

I do that try to max bags on all of them, garrisons to level 3 (all on the main and most on the second account), same goes for flying (though there are a couple I don't use other than annual mount farming). Have also been running 97 of them daily for the big love rocket. Sunsong Ranch you had to do the dailies to unlock your plots around Halfhill farm, it took 1-2 weeks and I think snakeroot is the one you plant for the ores (ghost iron and trillium). Back in WoD-Legion I maxed out the farms on a couple of my main servers but I don't use them much anymore.

You can get a BOA (bind on account) Flight master items. There is like 4 or 5 of them, and once you have them they are in your Toy Box, and your alts can click and get the flight points across kalimdor and the other continent. Then there is one at the docks in BFA (near your boat mission table) that you need rep to get, and you have to send it to each alt for flight points that are open without questing. It won't be ALL the flight points but it will give you the ones you need.

Thanks for these tips! Besides the pandarian garden you could also show which garrison buildings alts at least, should unlock. I don't know if it is mandatory but just an idea if you want to fill one whole video.

One suggestion... perhaps a catch up video where you take the suggestions / advice from your followers, evaluate them, and note wether you adopt them or not... also I have a checklist that I devised in Excel that could use your expert eyes to fix or make better... nothing special or macro’d, just two lists, one for profession assignment and the other fir garrison/shipyard upgrade status... what is best way to get it to you?

what items do you keep, like gunshoes and stuff for faster leveling. and potions and such. what toys do you use most when leveling? i know some gear have sets where it helps you move faster after looting or in a certain zone, do you use/keep those? what about herilooms, i know they changed but is any of them worth it?

Kraken, could you provide some life advice on alting? I have two alliance alts on my horde server, with no on-server attachments. For the long-game, would it be worth the money to server transfer them to my alliance server? Or, since I'm leveling ten million alts anyways, would two more alternate-reality versions of them not be that big a deal? Your professional expertise on being an Alt Addict is appreciated.

If you don't have any sentimental attachment or unique stuff (like removed recipes) on those characters, then remaking them is not a big deal if you don't mind releveling them. Leveling 1-50 doesn't take nearly as long as it use to. However, if you don't mind waiting, Blizz occasionally does services sales and you could xfer them for much cheaper. It only happens like once a year though, so that's only if you plan on playing for a long time. And if you DO plan on playing for a very very long time (like me) I *would* say it would be worth the xfer in the long run since that's less you have to level. And if you ever end up hitting the 50-character cap, those two "duplicates" could be in the way. Hope this helps!

I found amazing the hole Action bar profiles addon idea, but not sure why I cant make it work on my game. Having soma major bugs running it? are you using the wowup version ?

I'm not having any issues with it and I am using the WoWUp version, but I hear this sometimes from other folks. My only guess would be that it's conflicting with another addon you have. Other than that, I'm not sure. :/

Hey Krakken, I have a question. I've been doing what I'm calling "The Krakken Alt Challenge:" to get 12 Alts on a new server leveled to 50 with max professions. I chose a new server, chose races and classes that I don't normally play to get me started. I went Alliance and my main on the server is a male Kul Tiran Warrior named Hoyt. LOL Anyway, I've made 5 alts so far, but really only have been working on dear Hoyt. I'm a slow leveler. He's 32 in 2 real time weeks. Poor Hoyt is poor! He' got less than 2K gold. He's not had much luck with the AH. So, my question is how to start making a good amount of gold on a new server where you can't just jump on your main and send finance the new baby toons? Do you have any tips for that? I'm leveling his mining and blacksmithing, and all his professions. I am really loving your guides! It's making WoW fun for me again, so thank you so much!!
