Same thing happened with me...I am in exactly same kind of situation and the hardest part is some one walking out without any proper explaination. I know its tough...Let no girl undergo through this.And very correctly said ki jin larko ki behen nahi hoti they don't understand the pain generally. I have seen my parents going through pain. Its really really hard.Marriage is very big thing for every girl and if some thing like this happens its like life time trauma. Almost 3 month past but still trying to forget everything. I called of my engagement/wedding 4 months back. It was a relation of 3yrs before. My family was not respected, this happened multiple times. I have also seen my mom cry like hell and nothing is more precious than family. Also, even if there is a girl in their family its not necessary that they understand things. For a DIL equations will always be different. Being strong is the only thing in this phase. It is fine to cry and go through bad days but after few month you will recover. Take care
