Fun fact about Toedscool and Toedscruel that might explain their borked ability. Every Pokémon has an internal ID name in the code. Old Gen evos have their Japanese names, and new Pokémon have a word, or combination of words, relating to them. There’s a couple of placeholders too; Roaring Moon and Iron Valiant are a string of A’s and B’s, for example. Then we get to the mushrooms’ IDs, OKAKINGU and OKAGYARADOSU. Translation: Land/Hill Magikarp and Gyarados. No other Pokémon have something like this going on in their names, to my knowledge. And if we look at the ability internal IDs, Mycelium Might is at the very end. It implies that Toedscool was a last second addition to replace Gyarados the sandworm. Given how blatantly unfinished the whole game is, it wouldn’t be surprising if a latecomer like this was an extreme rush job. Mycelium Might sucks because they didn’t have time to think it through properly.

As someone who caught a Larvesta on his first playthrough and proceeded to only use it for endgame and postgame, it does indeed do damage when it turns into Mothra. It did prove to carry its weight during the superboss Nemona battle, though, so I would say that it was all worth it!

I'm going to be honest, I really like Flamigo, even the design. As soon as I saw it in the opening sequence, I was like "I need to catch one of them flamingoes right now and put it on my team". Then it made the game far too easy and I had to drop it. Sorry Fernando At least Tinkaton's non-game-breaking attack stat meant I could keep her around for much longer.

Something that’s really funny about Dragonite is that nowadays it’s probably one of the best of the Pseudolegendaries in competitive…and it doesn’t even run Dragon type moves. Typically what it does is it uses its Multiscale ability to tank a hit to set up with Dragon Dance, Tera Normal, and turn into the E-Killer Arceus at home. As for things that resist or are immune to normal, use Earthquake or Ice Spinner to guarantee hit everything for at least neutral. It’s not even overpowered or uncompetitive in OU since it keeps a lot of the best things in the tier like Great Tusk and Kingambit in check, which is ironic when you remember Gen 1 Wrap cheese Dragonite doing the exact opposite with a normal move. It’s the Gen 1 Dragonite redemption arc. Literally 0% of this translates to ingame because who cares about Stab normal and Dragon Dance set up, but it is interesting.

A pretty fun fact about Houndstone and Last Respects is that it's not +50bp for each pokemon fainted in your party, but instead +50bp for each of your pokemon that has fainted in the battle with a limit of like 1050bp, it doesn't actually affect in-game (or competitive either, 300bp is probably good enough to sweep in singles anyways and their partner will kill you after you get a ko in doubles anyways) but it's kinda funny

Revaroom actually has Shift gear on evolution, the pokemon is very underated. Obviously it doesn't make it broken but you're almost never getting oneshotted (unless you get earthquaked) and you can set up once and outspeed everything and oneshot everything.

I'd probably lower Tauro's placement. It doesn't get Raging Bull until level 35, so you're stuck with non stab moves for a while (unless you want to use surf or flamethrower off 30 special attack). And for the dual stab versions, the only good fighting move they get is Close Combat via TM, which you don't get until the last Team Star base. So you have to make due with double kick, which isn't very good.

For a game with so many pseudos available so early, I was sad to see a lot of them so low. I don't disagree though, I used a whole team of pseudos for my first playthrough and honestly it was indeed a bit underwhelming. I ended up grinding chansey for like over an hour and thinking to myself "if I just used pokemon that didn't require all this investment maybe I wouldnt be grinding these dang chansey right now!" Very enjoyable watch! I love your style of editing and comedy, its unique in the best way possible I do want to comment on Larvitar and it's potential, as I used it throughout my playthrough You can get it pretty early (around the second badge or so) and it is pretty good as it gets rock slide stupidly early, but it doesn't stay too great Pupitar is better in every respect, but it falls after a bit And while Tyranitar is stupidly strong, at the point you get it in the game, there's not many major battles where its useful, I didn't find myself using it all that much unfortunately

gholdengo is actually 100% accessible right off the rip. you only need 20 chests and there is 25+ in total all over the overworld. which are all accessible with tier 1 bike lizards, they can spawn all the way up to level 50. but they have pathetically poor base attack and only astonish/tackle as their moves. so you can easily do it all with mid 20s mons. you can get gholdengo within an hour or two and it just plows through the game.

How to make Tropius good: Give it an evo, and give it following ability. Tropical Storm: A tropical storm blows in over 3 turns. On the first turn the weather is set to harsh sunlight for 1 turn.
