Importing PDF Geometry into Civil 3D Drawings

Civil 3D 2017 provides a new feature that allows you to import PDF geometry into a drawing file. The imported geometry is brought in as standard AutoCAD entities meaning you have complete control over the layers, linetypes, and fonts. In this session we'll explore some ways to incorporate PDF geometry into your next design.

Has anyone done this with a USGS Quad PDF that is georeferenced? I’d love to be able to do this and pull in topo lines to run conceptual plan reviews when evaluating different sites for a particular job. I tried it, but the PDFs are in the 55 mb range and kept crashing Civil 3D 2020 out.
