I think he opened the the lid enough to put ball halfway in, and than we he slams the ball down the lid shuts and the ball is inside.

My guess, worked out as the noise came before you hit the ball... You put the lid back on the side leaving the top open. The elastic holds the ball up. A little bit of concealing with your hands & hey presto.

@@clairegresswell Before reading the comments, I figured it was a different way. He spent a lot of time putting the ball on the box. I thought there was just enough stretch in the bands to lift the lid while it was on the box, putting the ball in while it was covered. And then the ball shape bulge in the handkerchief was just always empty.

Why didn’t he put the lid on the top of the box ? He attached the lid to the side of the box? If that’s not a clue guys I don’t know what is!!!😊

I don't know if this is the method but can't you literally just put the ball in the box. The rubberbands don't exactly lock the box

Jokes aside, I love how some small things some times just holds other things together, or in place. You just have to keep an open mind, and not always take things for granted...

The lid isn’t on the box the normal way. The lid is on top of one of the closed sides and the open side is facing towards him. When he puts the box down under the cloth he turns that open side up and rests the ball on top of the rubber bands which are all that’s holding it up. Then he covers it and pushes it through the rubber bands into the box. Then when he reaches under the cloth he rotates the open side back towards him and the lid up.

You know, it would be pretty weird to have a finished ceiling, a roof, and a dirt floor. Nobody would even know if looking from the outside. It's like you don't even have a floor, really. The ball of your foot would just go straight through the dirt if you pushed really hard.
