For the $1000 Math question, if you look at the number, it's just 16 four times and then a 9. So the remainder is 1, because 16 is divisible by 8 evenly, and 9 divided by 8 is 1 with a remainder of 1

I got final jeopardy correct. There were other teams that I was considering. I knew the Giants made it in the 80’s, 90’s, 00’s, and 10’s but I wasn’t sure about the 70’s. 49ers and Packers weren’t good teams in the 70’s and especially the 49ers in 00’s. Patriots were very close but weren’t great in the 70’s. I was also thinking the Colts but I wasn’t 100% positive.

Long division question. So you’re going to divide 8 into 1 first, you get 0, bring down the 6. Now the 6 becomes 16. 8 goes into 16 twice. So you’re gonna repeat this until the end. Until you have nothing but the 9 left which 8 goes into 1 time, and it leaves 1 remaining. So the answer would be (without a calculator of course) 202021 r1

For any extremely long digit, if you want to know if it's divisible by 8, just look at the last three digits (since 8 goes into 1,000 evenly). So for this number, all you need to look at is 169, which is 8×21, remainder 1.

For the question on the remainder after divison by 8 the answer is 1. Everything beyond the 169 you can ignore since it is a factor of 1000 which is a factor of 8. Therefore it wont affect your answer. 169 is one more than 168 which is a multiple of 8, so your remainder must be 1.

best way to solve questions like the 1000 math is basically find the smallest number that is a multiple of 8 and easy to work with, in this case i used 200 - that means 1000 is divisable by 8, so youre left with just 169/8, then since 168/8, remainder is 1
