the mistake with the one chip challenge is opening your mouth to let air in...the capsasin will make your mouth hot before opening your mouth, but AIR makes it so much worse, your best option is to have either milk with honey or milk with sugar ready, as the lactose in the milk helps to keep the air away from the capsasin and the sugar actually helps to cut through the heat and give relief. So, just thought I'd give a bit of help if you ever have to do that again you have something to help with the heat. Because of having both dairy and sugar you could also use cheese-cake to help with it...I also have a friend who used pecan pie to help with it. just some options.
