Some people become millionaires by doing this sort of thing. Packing lunch instead of buying, cutting their own hair, not using name brand stuff, not showing off their wealth. Driving old, beat up cars. They save instead of spend. It's called being resourceful. Sure you could throw money at a lot of problems, but many can be solved without spending money. Lots of great ideas and ingenious hacks! What I DIDN'T like was that I didn't get a really good, clean and clear look at the end result of that table repair. The video blurred out for about the last minute, give or take. Not especially long, but long enough for the camera person to have given us a better close up of the final finish and not just a blurred box and accompanying cool tunes. That just totally made a downer of the whole video for me. That said, the dude repairing that table has some super mad skills!

I'm not quite sure what the thrill is to have bottles cut in half for a lock on doors - which I've seen multiple times, but some of these were actually good ideas. It would be nice if you'd state clearly what solution was being used in the Rust Removal clip, as that would be helpful to a lot of us, unless it's some hazardous material - which I suspect it is. I'm particularly impressed by the guys handling heavy loads, using Foam blocks to catch the inevitable drops. Hadn't thought of that, but it seems to work surprisingly well. Overall, an interesting video, even if some of it is clearly not something you'd use in real life in the US. We do have codes here, and some of this is clearly foreign in origin, or they'd never get away with it.

<a href="#" class="seekto" data-time="510">8:30</a> - That's a common misundestanding about balls of string and wool. 🙂 The ball is wound from the centre out, so you're meant to draw stuff off it from the inside, not the outside. Try it. No need for any clever holding devices to stop the ball spinning and wriggling and bouncing all over the place; just sit the ball on a shelf (or in your pocket if you're outside in the garden) and it'll remain still whilst you draw string from its core, not its outer edge.
