At first, I was sure I'd been click baited. But some of these ideas were very good. I particularly liked the hands-free umbrella and plan to try out the alternative laces idea as well as the jumper folding technique. So, it seems that my time wasn't wasted after all.

She didn't use fitted sheets because they don't fold flat and take longer to dry, but she could still whip the sheets onto the bed, tuck in those precise 45 and 90 deg. angles, lay out two blankets on top (it's _cold_ in NW Ohio), tucking each equally precisely, and have the flowered bedspread on, all in about sixty seconds flat. Just _whoosh whoosh whoosh whoosh_ *flop* _smoooooth,_ and it looked like an illustration from a student recruitment flyer. It was amazing.

Some people become millionaires by doing this sort of thing. Packing lunch instead of buying, cutting their own hair, not using name brand stuff, not showing off their wealth. Driving old, beat up cars. They save instead of spend. It's called being resourceful. Sure you could throw money at a lot of problems, but many can be solved without spending money. That's what the video is about

Lots of great ideas and ingenious hacks! What I DIDN'T like was that I didn't get a really good, clean and clear look at the end result of that table repair. The video blurred out for about the last minute, give or take. Not especially long, but long enough for the camera person to have given us a better close up of the final finish and not just a blurred box and accompanying cool tunes. That just totally made a downer of the whole video for me. That said, the dude repairing that table has some super mad skills!

The blurred portion, if you look carefully, is what was shown at the beginning of the process. You can see the hammering in of the ‘bone’ shape, then the pouring of white fluid into the crack…cheer up, you didn’t miss a thing.

Heck, he put together an entire machine shop out back of the house from auctions and fire salvage sales, and got quite a bang out of seeing his grandkids developing nifty ways of doing or using everyday things in creative ways, and we had a blast doing it. Sadly, we girls were never taught to use the drill press or metal lathe, but we more than made up for it in crafting clever jewelry and using his hand tools to fix things.

I'm not quite sure what the thrill is to have bottles cut in half for a lock on doors - which I've seen multiple times, but some of these were actually good ideas. It would be nice if you'd state clearly what solution was being used in the Rust Removal clip, as that would be helpful to a lot of us, unless it's some hazardous material - which I suspect it is. I'm particularly impressed by the guys handling heavy loads, using Foam blocks to catch the inevitable drops. Hadn't thought of that, but it seems to work surprisingly well. Overall, an interesting video, even if some of it is clearly not something you'd use in real life in the US. We do have codes here, and some of this is clearly foreign in origin, or they'd never get away with it.

<a href="#" class="seekto" data-time="510">8:30</a> - That's a common misundestanding about balls of string and wool. 🙂 The ball is wound from the centre out, so you're meant to draw stuff off it from the inside, not the outside. Try it. No need for any clever holding devices to stop the ball spinning and wriggling and bouncing all over the place; just sit the ball on a shelf (or in your pocket if you're outside in the garden) and it'll remain still whilst you draw string from its core, not its outer edge.

@@amandaemerson753 Yes I do agree with you. What really irritates me is the mandatory flip flop they are wearing. Or they do everything squatting on the floor. I saw once a video of a foot doctor treating a patient with verruca (highly contagious foot wart), shaving the hard skin off and HE HIMSELF WAS BAREFOOT!!!!!!! Yes I d agree with you.

Lots of ingenuity. In the west we're used to buying something for every job. And I must admit, buying a buying is a lot more time & cost efficient that making one out of a plastic bag. Also a lot of the construction ideas look pretty dangerous. But Still, all are very ingenious. High IQ's and they'll fly thru engineering school
