Impressions of Tunis, Tunisia

Tunisia is a beautiful and exotic country, situated along the Mediterranean Sea in northern Africa. I am spending several weeks in the country, staying in the capital city of Tunis. In my first video from Tunisia, I explore Tunis and show you some of the places that demand to be visited. Those are places such as the Medina of Tunis and the Bardo National Museum.
In the coming weeks, I will take you to some other places around the country that are both gorgeous and fascinating.

I admit that it takes a bit longer to get comfortable here, but once you settle in, this is a phenomenal country to visit!

Tunis is definitely on my bucket list as my grandfather was born there. So glad to see that the Bardo museum has reopened. Do you have any plans to see El Jem or Bulla Regia?

I have already visited El Jem. That video will be out on February 11. I won't get to Bulla Regia. I am visiting Douz and several other cities over the next couple of days. Thank you for watching!

You sound like me- I'm 66, I've started to travel solo, which I love and, far from home (Montreal). Planning to go to Tunisia for the first time next spring. At least I can get by in French which should help.

For the most part, the people have been amazing! Friendly and kind! Cheesecake San Sebastian? I could eat it every day. That combination of sweet and salty goodness is so fantastic! I COULD eat it every day, but I've told myself I get to have it one more time before I leave. I must choose wisely, when I partake!

Great video Richard! The view from the rooftop that overlooked the Medina was amazing and really showed off the area. I can hardly believe this was all filmed in Africa. The Medina area of Tunisia doesn't look anything like what I was expecting. The mint tea with pine nuts, the mosaics, the market area....it all looks so interesting. Thanks for the hard work to share another very well constructed video.

I certainly appreciate it! Saying this is hard work, however, is stretching the definition. I love the travel and it's through the camera that I fully enjoy an area! All that being said, Tunis and its various elements are amazing!

I did work in the television industry, before I retired. Nothing major, but it gave me a lot of tools to use in creating videos.
