i keep coming back to this -it really is an OUTSTANDING piece of music - Yucco takes the whole band with her in a way i think mr Coltrane would have LOVED.

At beginning of Sixties, there were two big streams in modern jazz field. One is by Miles Davis. And another is by John Coltrane. The basic album of the former is "kind of blue". The latter is "Giant steps". Of course, I've been loving Miles Davis stream. But I didn't neglect Coltrane. He was gradually releasing so excellent albums such as "Afro blue", "Impressions", and "Chasing the train". Now, listening to your "impressions". I became so happy. your improvisations are also marvelous. Please, keep the tradition which was made by John Coltrane. galwayera from Y P S village.

Love the energy which reminds me of the heyday of Coltrane and his quartet. Can hear a bit of Pharaoh Sanders-esque as well as Coltrane in there too. Its not a cover, its a genuine reinvention by some talented young ladies? Bravo ! Drummers pretty good too !

Yes, sheets of notes very Coltranesque but on other tunes you hear a Rollins esque style with the choruses being reinvented. She has taken the best from the past and is bringing it forward....man, hard post bop
These Japanese girls and boys are genetically mutated. Where do these sound come from? Tsugaru minyour? Kyushuu no nannka? Incredible expression. I love it .As excited as when I heard Coltrane at the SF "Jazz Workshop" in the 60s

It seems that the name of the girl playing the piano is Sachie Fujikawa. She's really someting. But not easy to get more info about her.
Great Stuff! More info please about the band and so on. How do young people in Japan get into this kind of music, and play it so well?

surement une des meilleures interprétations de cette pièce; madame piano bouffe le chien, Yucco Miller les lâche, le bassiste réussit ne pas se faire déborder, et le batteur propulse tout ça sur des rails chauffés à blanc: vraiment un grand moment .
Have seen keith also alice coltrane and the best but who is this piano player? In jazz and rock woman have been shut out this proves my point i could not have a band without female energy>3 But who is this piano player she travels spears of existence.
