Awesome Video! I was working landscaping in missouri one day and 6 F-15 Eagles landed at a near by airport, refueled and took back off. The power of the F-15 eagle, the sound is amazing! The yard I was working at was about 2 miles away from the airport. and I felt the ground shake from the thunder of the afterburners! my buddy who was working with me was like OMG what is that. He never heard a fighter jet in person before, after that day, he was hooked LOL. God bless the men and women who fly these jets! God bless USA, Nato, our allies and Russia! We civilians who will not ever understand what it is like to fly in a fighter jet unless they give programs to civilians to pay for a flight in a fighter jet which i would pay anything to fly in an F-15!

Oscar Banuelos - Sorry the Su-35 is not more advanced. The F-15E has a much better and more powerful radar and avionics that any Russian aircraft. Yes the F-35 is the most advanced and best multi-role fighter in the world. But the F-15E has proven itself to be the best 4th gen strike fighter in the world and it doesn't hurt that the F-15E can carry a massive payload. The reason I know this is because my older brother is a F-15E pilot.

I can only imagine how loud that whirring actuator you can hear just before the last takeoff _is,_ when you can hear it OVER the sound of the engine. What is that? Based on the timing and a guess on sound delay, it looks like the nozzles pinching down as the plane throttles through military into afterburner.

Pretty impressive! Cold War doctrine dictated that the USAF UPT syllabus required all students to train and be proficient in both the T37 Tweet and T38 Talon trainers. The T37 being the basic trainer and the T38 an advanced, supersonic type. During the Cold War, it was unknown what attrition ratios would unfold in the event of all out war against the Soviet Block. So, the Air Force reasoned that if ALL pilots were required to fly and train in the T37 AND the T38, then All pilots would basically be able to fly virtually any aircraft in the Air Force inventory. As a matter of fact, the F15 Eagle was/is considered one of the easiest aircraft to fly in its day.

Why is the f-15e only a two seater?
@williamsimmons88994 жыл бұрын
There's two actual crew positions pilot in the front weapons system operator in the back. It's a strike eagle, which is an air to ground variant so it needs two crew. The air to air version is the F15C which is a single-seat aircraft for just the pilot, except for the D model or "tubs" that are two-seaters used to train pilots, a student in the front IP in the back.

One of the Best Jet fighter EVER made. the F15E is an Israeli version. notice the extra large fuel tanks . it it also Stealthy not in the same way as F 35 concept. this fighter has gone over 635 modifications .most of those modifications are not public. this jet fighter can easily penetrate any russian anti missile system. but with a different method used on the F35. i'm glad to see that US military did not abandon this project, since this fighter is nothing short of Masterpiece . it has been tested many times against russian anti missile systems. not a single fighter was detected. not by the S300 or S400 or S500. keep in mind the F15 has a record of more kills than any other fighter.
@alanwhiteside4107 жыл бұрын
David Woods The F-15E is not an Israeli version its a USAF Model. Those F-15 drop tanks are your standard 600gal external drop tanks. Same ones on all models. Trust me I have Install hundreds of them on F-15’s on all models A,B,C,D,E,S,I,K,SG hope I didn’t leave any models out. Same tanks!

They are called CFT's (Conformal Fuel Tanks). The only F-15 C models to fly them on a permanent basis were the 57FIS in Iceland because they needed the extended range. I know. They suck and I hated them. When the E Model multi-role F-15 came out the made them a standard configuration. Other C model units tried them and they died a slow death in the "Tank Farm". Most C Model units just flew two wing tanks or centerline tank, sometimes all 3, never conformal fuel tanks. We would have rioted on the flight line over that. Lots of work compared to a regular wing tank.

Here's what I don't get why retire a fighter that's never been beaten?
@bobzeda7 жыл бұрын
They were never going to retire the "Strike Eagle" They were talking about the "C" and "D" versions of the F15, but the Generals were only bluffing. The air force wants more money. Even during hearing before congress, the Generals were embarrassed because congressman questioned the logic of replacing F15's with F16's. The have be upgrading all F15's to "Golden Eagles." A Congress woman who had been a pilot said, an F16 is a FINE multi-role fighter but it's not an F15! The Air force is now backing down off retiring ANY F15's...
