i am without words at how insane the Finally Enough Love project features edit, dub and 'radio' versions and not the full club mixes. after all, it's supposed to celebrate 50 #1 dance hits. not radio hits. this version (along with Calderone's Extended Club Mix) are absolute masterpieces in their extended version. Rauhofer took this to another space and time. everything about this is perfect.

I used to work for 'Petey' (my nickname for Peter Rauhofer, which he HATED), and, he exclusively made this mix (and, alternate mixes) for 'Impressive...', for the WB label to get 'permission' to use, on one of his *69 label releases... (cont.) ....They wanted to keep Madonna's 'Club' cred going (especially after 'What It Feels Like For A Girl''s remixes were underwhelming), at the time, and 'rush-released "Impressive... (Universal...)" to the Clubs....THEN, Petey did a NEW batch of remixes, which became the 'Drowned World' mix / dubs, and, THOSE became the 'real' hit at the Clubs, giving Madonna her 2nd 'Club / Dub' hit, after the "Up Down Suite", in 1993 / 1994.... ...pssssst- ...more inside info.... this remix has nothing special, except of madonna singing in it. when i was a kid in the 90s and the older ones took me to these big clubs in the suburbs of hamburg, you heard this kind of sound always on the biggest dancefloor of this huge clubs. it was only "großraumdisco-musik". totally boring monotone electro bs. not funky, not soulful, NOTHING. made for people, that don't know really groovy funkified club music. then came U.S. HOUSE and a lot of ACID HOUSE from britain and saved our lives in terms of music. unnecessary to say that i was raised with black music and pop as well. but the U.S. club and music scene was always my favourite 2 B honest.
