FreshBaked. David, another great construction update this week. Thing's happening everywhere and all with a nice positive feel to it all. The railway sleepers that have been laid is for the point that divides the track to allow access to the train shed. I suspect the sleepers are made from re-cycled material. The point is laid first then they lay the rail away from here. If you laid track from both ends to this area you could end up having to shoe horn the point into place. A few times lately the "Mark Twain has been parked out on the river. While maintainance do a quick repair. David, because you are at Disneyland so often I think we should ask Disney to build you your own apartment on "Town Sq." Above the Hat Shop to the left side of the Opera House. Right across the Square from Walts Apartment. It really makes a lot of sense. Cheers, Chris Perry.

30:57 this little spot they are 100% making it ADA accessible by putting in ramps. Here is what to look out out for in the future. The rebar to the left with the wood you pointed out (the wood is just a rebar cap) they probably ran out of the orange caps you see on the other tops of the rebar. So they just custom made a long 4x wood for the entire run. It's hard to tell but if you look at it long enough, from where the picture is taken you can see the rebar on the left (far left is level) but the one parallel to the right of it is dropping grade from the top of the photo towards the person who took the photo down towards the water tower back. Notice the rebar getting shorter with a slight slant? Then the rebar to the right where the elevator house is, you can see the same thing. The reber closest to the person who took the photo, starting from right moving left, wrapping up to the elevator house door. You can see the rebars ever so slightly getting taller. You essentially have que ramp in as soon as you turn that corner (raising in grade from the left of the photo) and que ramp out (lowering in grade, wrap around from the right, where the elevator house is - notice how the opening is not flush to the ground, ramp leads right up to it). The weird floor color you see is waterproofing/caulking sealing because the ride sits below. Imagine a car parking garage. Got to protect it from water. Interesting how they will make those grades. I'd imagine foam blocking (exactly how that sounds - big foam blocks they can shape and pour concrete over) Too early but if they get another photo and Disney decides to put lighting and irrigation (the open spaces in between the rebar) then you'll see gray piping (like the one sticking out of the elevator house, and either purple piping or green piping for landscape irrigation. Cheers.

If they are smart they will be increasing the number of trees in the parks over the next several years. They really should have turned Hungry Bear into a higher end Tiana’s Place. Really would have tied the whole Bayou area together.
@DrStarlanderАй бұрын
They should have themed it as a bayou restaurant, with 1920s rusty corrugated roof, old boats, Creole cuisine and music, and a real Louisiana bayou vibe with props and decor. A BBQ theme with bears does not help the land's theme. I know it's a tribute to the Country Bears but it's a muddled half-theme. If they want to go "bayou" with the land, then deliver on the bayou theme with a thematic, immersive dining experience! If they want to keep the country bears, then keep it "critter country." I say move the Country Bear references over to Grizzly River Run, or even into the Golden Horseshoe, and go all-bayou in "Bayou Country"!

Knowing the holiday version of the ride gets VERY popular around Christmas time, they may want to continue with virtual queue through the end of the holiday season. With Tiana opening in November, I won't be surprised if they finish the courtyard end of the HM queue by then so they can redirect the queue that direction instead of filling up the bridge toward Tiana. Last Christmas the Lightning Lane return line backed up all the way into Critter Country on weekend evenings.
