I know of 3 members of the same family who committed suicide..Now allegedly I’m not saying it was because they were members of the Exclusive Brethren but it makes one think why…..

Theres loads of brethens at my work place because the company director is also a brethen. They all seem lovely, ....they wear skirts, headbands, long hair, they dont eat infront of normal people or socialise and they spend ALL of sunday at the church.... i wonder how happy they REALLY are with their lifestyles.

The brethren appear to have lots of cash ! where do the acquire there wealth ? who controls it ? where do they invest ? Like many of these cults including the Jehovah's witnesses and the R.C.church, the people at the top seem to do very well in the their secret lives .

So many so called “Christian”cults have similar restrictions and the hallmark of fear and damnation! Holy Spirit will give courage to overcome!

In my view, that's because liberty of faith, has been sanctioned by both governments and believers alike, to be able to be liberty of faith + liberty of abuse, as if this would only be nothing more than liberty of faith alone. And because the holy spirit has so far never ever helped to move believers to be able to see that in fact there's certain things what are highly immoral about that matter within this complex situation. The immoral attitude in this regard is widespread. In this sense immorality may perhaps even be worse on the outside of the cults, in certain ways, such as within widespread feelings of indifference toward suffering and situation of cult members of which non cult member help to sustain due to their own state of indifference and inaction.

What's the difference between the Plymouth Brethren and the Exclusive Brethren?
@thebowshot93412 ай бұрын
The 'brethren' movement began in the early 19th century, and members of the movement were called 'Plymouth Brethren' by observers (but not by the 'brethren' themselves) due to there being a large 'meeting' at Plymouth in England. Issues arose amongst the brethren which resulted in a division in about 1848. The two sides of this division were dubbed (again by observers, and - in the main - not by the 'brethren' themselves) Open Brethren and Exclusive Brethren. These titles refer to the difference in view (broadly speaking) on the openness of the fellowship, freedom to 'break bread' (i.e. take communion) with other 'fellowships' or denominations, and whether acts of discipline in one local fellowship were binding on all others. These two lines continued until 1970, when there was a further division within the so-called 'Exclusive Brethren'. Many were troubled by the increasing legalism and many other issues which had come in as Mr James Taylor Junior had assumed de facto leadership of the movement, and this trouble came to a head with the 1970 division. Those who sided with J Taylor Jnr form what is known as the Plymouth Brethren Christian Church (PBCC) which is the subject of this video. Those who separated from him and his followers are still referred to as 'Exclusive Brethren' but, sharing the convictions of the early 'brethren', take no name for themselves and take the ground of simply being believers who gather to the Name of the Lord Jesus. I am one of the latter.
