@@paulineshiku1890 i know it's 6 months late but he substituted 3x+1 into "u" then raised it to the square afterwards (u^2). He did the integral of the full thing with "u" still in it and then replaced the "u" with 3x+1. So basically the squared just merged with the rest of the fraction

Good video; however, the p-series you're referring to is typically called the p-integral when dealing with improper integrals rather than a series. This is because a series involves the summation of terms, while an integral involves continuous accumulation. My professor took points off my test because I used "p-series" as my justification, and he wrote "not a series." It's called a p-integral or a p-test.

idk if it will help you now. but it doesn't mater if you change the bounds of the integral by doing u(x)= function, and substitute it will come out the same at the end you could try it out . I could be wrong .
