I love coming into a scene with a "you're right... I/you ." So the conversation is already in play. Oh... there you go... Step 3!

I think you'r right on with both of those - WE, as the audience, are then joining the scene already in action. As the old screenwriting axiom goes "Get in late and get out early" that's where we are dong here.

Welcome back! I would love to see videos about how people have changed their improv philosophy or play based on their experiences during COVID. Like how taking time off or doing online improv made them look at things differently.

I love this series. One older series I love is "The Improv Blueprint" - I know that was a self-contained series. Please, if I have learned anything from Harry Potter, Fast & Furious or Star Wars ... we don't need sequels. BUT I do like that self-contained, really fast podcast series. EVERY episode was full of value. Maybe you can dismantle improv and make a small series like that? IDK. Maybe like "Suggestions" or "Scenes vs. Sets." But I think the Improv Blueprint is one of my absolute favorite online improv series.

I think I could make another little series like that. It's just a matter of curating the necessary videos. Let me look into it. Thanks for the suggestion and thanks for watching.

I've been obsessed about the example of running into someone's car at kzbin.info/www/bejne/aX7VZWh_qbNlhrs and making it mean something about the people on stage (myself or my partner). For me, it's one of those clarifying moments when I realized you can do this for any scene that is veering into something that isn't about the relationship with the two people in the scene. Whether it's a scene about stuff, an activity, a transaction, another person not there... whatever. It's such a simple and powerful way to get back to how I feel about myself or my scene partner as a character. I've probably brought up this example a dozen times since I first saw this video. Thank you!

Jesse - Thank you so much for your kind words! I'm thrilled that the example resonated with you and helped you find a powerful tool to connect with your scene partner -that's the key to everything, right? Keep up the great work and thanks for watching.

I am a first time viewer and just want to leave a suggestion - 3 minutes intro is waaay too long :) I would've prefer to jump straight to the content

Hey Dmitry - thanks for the input. I have moved towards a shorter intro style in recent videos. Have at look at these two: kzbin.info/www/bejne/hmewoWR3p5ehkJY kzbin.info/www/bejne/iZC7mKWigNlrgNE In the meantime, hope you got some value out of the video despite it's long intro and thanks for watching.
