I believe ChatGPT can now let you upload files, including CSV files it can read. So you can put those tables into a spreadsheet, and add your own rows over time, and use the same prompt including the file to get better and better results as you add more data to the spreadsheet.

I know you can integrate ChatGPT into google sheets with an extension but I’ve yet to try a CSV file in a chat. I’ll try it out and get back to you.

At this point, especially if you're using the free version, you must convert them to markdown format and then paste the data into the prompt. ChatGPT can create tables for you but it'll use markdown as well. However, you can copy and paste the table or matrix part direct into Excel without having to specify the delimiters, etc.

Very nice of you to say. Thank you. Here's the exact prompt I used to get the table: "Please create a table that breaks down a stand up comedy routine into the following key elements where each of these key elements is a column: Relatability, Exaggeration, Wordplay, Repetition, Satire, Rule of three, Absurdity, Call back, Audience inclusion. Fill the table with 10 rows of data where: relatability = "awkward family situations"

Here's a different prompt I used as well: Please create a table that breaks down a stand up comedy routine into the following key elements where each of these key elements is a column: Introduction, Initial Observation, Exaggeration, Absurd Suggestions, Enlisting Friends Fill the table with 10 rows of data where: Introduction = "Owning a pet giraffe"

So, to answer your question, you can choose a key element that you'd like to remain constant in the resulting table... or you have have ChatGPT populate the entire thing you. Hope that helps!

This is an excellent tutorial and the second part is also awesome! Thank you. I believe there is an issue though with the fact that the example on priming is too narrowly focused. While it is more than clear on how a stand up comedian would use this method, I couldn't see any other applications of it. So any suggestions on other uses of the method or, even better, some more videos with these applications would be very helpful!

I used the variable approach for planning my weekly meal schedule. I put in variables for likes, dislikes, allergies, budget, etc. Then, each week I can ask it to make me a new set of meals… I like to use themes: Italian, Mexican, French, Mediterranean for the week. Then chat gives me a shopping list, and cooking instructions for the week.

Great feedback! Later this week, I'm releasing another video that provides a scenario for better communications with those who you interact frequently. I hope it's more tangible for you. Meanwhile, one of the ways I like to use variables is for my workout routine. I get bored doing the same things at the gym all of the time so I have ChatGPT create different schedules. Variables include Workout Type: Cardio, HIIT, Weights; Current injuries: Shoulder, ankle; Exercise goals: Weight loss, Muscle gain, endurance; Workout frequency... Resting intervals... You get the idea. What are some of your hobbies and I can send you an example?

@@LawtonSolutions That is lovely. I am looking forward to watching that! In my opinion a video that would focus more on the principles of priming and less on specific applications would help us the most. Once again thank you for your excellent tutorials. Really appreciate your work!

@@LawtonSolutions For now it has been setting up multiple tone of voices in the same chat, and proof reading / rewriting a hole newsletter on that same tone/voice. As the 2 newsletters have different structures, I might have different chats with different priming. Still figuring out.

Let's say the comedian create more videos in the future and you have more samples (video transcripts) to add to the chatgpt now, to fine-tune it further. How to do that?
@LawtonSolutions
@LawtonSolutions Жыл бұрын
Ah, that's the beauty of using variables. Simply go back into the same chat and tell GPT that you need to add another new variable via the following: "I want you to store another example of "X" in the variable [Variable 03]. [Variable 03] = "populate this with the example information" Then, the next time you want Chat to create content, use the following (which would NOW include Variable 03) "Now that you have ingested these variables, please act as an expert "XYZ" with two decade of experience. Based on the variables, [Variable 01], [Variable 02] and [Variable 03], please write "CONTENT" with the following components:"

Isn't it just easier to write a damn joke using what you think is funny?
@LawtonSolutions
@LawtonSolutions Жыл бұрын
You’re probably blessed with the gift of being funny!! Some of us (me, in particular) struggle. …But seriously, yes writing your own comedy routine is the best. This was just an example of how to use the concept of variables in a chat. Let’s say you want to come up with ideas for cooking meals. You could use variables to describe your likes, dislikes, budget, dietary restrictions, etc. Once you have those elements in place, you could use the same chat string for months and get great, customized meals planned. Most importantly, what’s your favorite joke?
