Great advice for adding practicality and utility to the more conceptual books. I'm actually trying this with a gesture drawing book I have now, just to condense everything for quick reference

@@louisecreatesart It's the Vilppu Drawing Manual. I guess it's more of a figure drawing book than strictly gesture, but that's what I'm focused on. The information is already laid out as curriculum, so it's already a lot of the way there. But this will help break away from the tendency to just read the book while nodding along, like "yes, got it"

@just2watch1clip ive just checked that book out, looks really good, practical exercises in it to actually get you practicing, ill add it to my list to work through! I've definitely got a way to go with my figure drawing.

@@louisecreatesart I think face to face since I get stuck on someothing and just stop but videos have been helping when I watch people just draw
