I've tested it for months using (320mp3, flac, wav, aiff) and came to the following conclusion: really improved many parts especially the light analog distortion is really cool! but he rarely made some parts incredibly bad! choking and sizzling problems ... As a result, it's a really great software if you pay attention to these rare parts.

Hello andy im one of your subscribers. I have a question is it normal the beat grid of the song after i analyze them with platinum notes gets smaller? Because i noticed after my songs analyze by PN4 when i compared them to the original file because i made a backup those music analyze by PN4 are much smaller. By the way i am using rekordbox software.

I’m still confused to how I get files from iTunes to platinum notes, then to mixed in key and finally into serato. It seems like duplicates will be everywhere and I definitely don’t want that. What’s the workflow you guys are using any help will be appreciated 👍🏾👍🏾

Hello to you all. If i have 1000 songs on my computer in different folders. Can i just drag and slip them in to this program and it will work ? One of the biggest problems for a Dj imo is to ajust the trim to make every song to be in/at the same gain/volume. And this program fix that ?

@@mixedinkey music sounds have change so much it does not work for new wide, juicy sounds it makes it dull and narrow even tho using great sound formats ... just bought to software but i already see i wont be using it and will be applying for money back. as there is no updates and user interface is so little

So transcoding MP3s to WAV feels sinful but the issue with going MP3 -> MP3 is you're recompressing twice. At least outputting to something like FLAC prevents further compression. This is also why I hate MP3s and most lossy music because the second you edit them, it recompresses and reduces the sound quality. It's just like if you resave the same jpeg over and over.

too late I saw this video, I have already my song in itunes and I have processed them after I have them already in rekordbox and mixed in key, so now the song are in a different folder and I have to relocated them in order to play them on rekordbox. what is the best way to relocated them since I have the original in itunes?

Big fan of the technology but I've found with dance music, the standard configuration leaves the bass a little bit lacking in attack. What would be the Band I need to change to improve this? Thanks

What happens if I already pass the files through platinum notes with different outvolume (-9db) and passes again to platinum notes with the outvolume (-12.5db). I don't have the originals

quistion. the maps on my hard drive are not the same as in rekordbox so when i have new files with platinum i loose the maps in rekordbox? can i do it like find my files in rekordbox so i don't have to start over by making new maps in rekordbox?

You may already have worked this out but I'll explain it anyway for anyone that hasn't. Replace the old file with the new file and remove the '_PN' from the file name. You're good to go. Works for Traktor anyway

We have an option inside Platinum Notes to mirror your folder structure, so all the new files will be added to new folders with the same structure as the original ones :)

One Question about the Volume Differences Fix Feature ... do make Platinum Notes normalising just the Peak Volume, or actually the Average Loudness of the Mastered Songs ?? Causse it would just make no Sense, if it works just of Peak Normalisation insteat of Loudness Normalisation ..Cause the Tracks would be still differently loud anyway !.Because the RMS or in new Ages Words the LUFs is the Point how Loud a Track is actually felt . Because the Mastered Tracks are obviously limited with a Brickwall True Peak Limiter with a good Peak Headroom by a Experienced Mastering Engineers anyway ´.

It normalizes the Average Loudness of Mastered Songs. But it uses a special technique to make the result even better - When it analyzes the original audio, it looks at the RMS volume of where the drums are playing - so if the song has a long breakdown, it wouldn't affect the RMS average. The end result is really simple: when you DJ and mix two songs together two tracks that got processed by Platinum Notes, their drums will be matched in volume to each other. That's why it's loved by so many DJs - it makes the DJ set sound more professionally put together. It's like the entire DJ set was mastered by an engineer *after* it was mixed, although that processing actually happens before someone walks into the DJ booth

It doesn't change the "quality" of the audio per-se, but you will have a much better listening experience with the newly mastered track. It corrects pitch, improves volume and makes every file ready to play anywhere :)

@@mixedinkey Thanks for the reply :). I only want to use PN for normalisation as I play modern electronic music which has high quality mastering but varied output due to artistic choice. So if I only use normalisation, it would effectively be the least "manipulation" of the original track. Just bringing the peaks to the same level?

if you analyzed them already in PN4, I wouldn't analyze it again in PN10 because all the files should be improved already. So, just analyze the new files in PN10 instead :)

Hi, you actually didn’t explain what’s the difference between the official PN template and the festival one. Personally, I think the difference is quite subtle between the two presets. Festival sound more lively/forward, while official sound more layback & mellow. An official comment & explanation on why we should “use the official 95% of times” would be greatly appreciated. In my experience the festival preset sound better for house & techno 95% of the times. Horses for courses I guess:)

When we worked on PN4, we hired two audio engineers in Miami to audit our algorithm and suggest improvements. Unfortunately, they agreed that the official template is as good as it gets. We were hoping for some new ideas. As a result of our audit, we decided to create a second template called “Festival” that has a little more “air” in the hi-hats. It has the perfect balance of bass and hi-hats :)

Mine is not working. I E-mailed support and they said I had to buy another key. Kind of scammy that I have to pay twice in one year just to get it to work. I would avoid this software. especially if you use rekordbox to DJ with because it makes it easy to do on your own.

Very annoying that the PN files aren’t the same as the original and have to to re analyse every track (hot cues & memory cues) in Rekordbox and start fresh Lots of work to do! But I see the difference

We will add an option to overwrite the original files on the next PN version, so that you won't have to re-do all the cue points and memory cues in your RB collection :)
