Hi Jennifer, how's it going ?. I wanted to ask you something ; Are these forms synonyms ?. - I HAD gone when you got home. And. - I WAS gone when you got home. I mean, Do these forms mean the same ? Do they convey the same idea ? From my point of view, they're synonyms but I'm not so sure. - I know that "HAD" is used as past tense of "have" and in "conditionals" but that's something else.
