I can't remember exactly how, when, or where I met Ligeia. This happened a while ago, and my memory isn't great. But it seems to me that I first met her in Germany, in a big, old town by the Rhine River.
She told me that she was actually from an ancient family. But I never knew the last name of the woman who started out as my friend, then became my partner in my studies, and eventually my wife.

Сначала мне было интересно, утрата молодого человека меня тронула, далее его женитьба, чтобы только сделать себе облегчение, без любви, была эгоистичной. Не удивительно, что вторая жена быстро зачахла, видя его равнодушие, вечную угрюмость, депрессию. Дальше, когда начинается мистика, мне совсем перестает рассказ нравиться. Не люблю мистику. Непонятно, что хотел автор этим сказать. Только то, что главный персонаж психически нездоров? Это не интересно. Прочитать только ради навыка чтения и понимания текста, тоже неплохо. В любом случае спасибо за размещение этого рассказа😊

Я заметил в вот таких коротких британских рассказах всегда про мистику и привидения рассказывается... Ну во многих рассказах
