I'm glad I found your channel. I haven't done TKD in over 23 years (used to train with several Olympians) and forgot how to get back my flexibility. Thanks Alex!

Hey Alex! Just curious as I am a instructor myself and train rhee tkd, we are taught differently which we don't use the front part of our foot for kick and only using the ball and heel, could you do a video on any kicking along those lines especially for combos? I like your channel btw ! Cheers from goldcoast Australia 🇦🇺

Good evening My sincere greetings to you Your explanation of these movements is good, and this indicates that you have studied well the process of heating muscles. I only have a note between the timing from 1.05 to 1.20 in the video, although you told them to do the movement slowly, but this movement may harm the knees especially for beginners and religion who do not have good control of the body balance, it is better to do it on something stable and not a chair and as You said slowly, because any mistake would cause the owner to contract the quadriceps muscle. Thank you again very great video and good luck. This information I learned from my teacher in Kung Fu Wushu when I was 23 years old. good luck

Thank you very much for the video. How many times a week should I do a workout like this?
@AlexWongTKD4 жыл бұрын
Depends what else you are doing. I recommend training at least 3 times a week on your kicking and cardio. If you can do that consistently then eventually aim for 5 days a week, but 3 is definitely good unless you are preparing for a tournament, then you need more sessions for sure.

I hear you and I feel you. It was only after 6 years of training that my vertical kicks really were vertical. I am now preparing for my black belt, still fighting with vertical kicks in general even though they got a LOT better over time. Try different stretches, practice the technique but really the most important thing is to stretch. Samery Moras on KZbin does also do great videos for getting better at kicking Don't give up, you can do it!
