I can't be bothered to go through all the examples but the first one I encountered already had many problems. "I walked to the beach" "to" is not part of the verb. It's a preposition in the prepositional phrase "to the beach". "to the beach" is not the object. An object is something that is affected by the action. Like, I kicked the ball. The ball moves because of the action of kicking hence it is affected. The beach is not affected by walking to it. "to the beach" is the complement or adverbial depending on the type of analysis. Also a complete sentence does not have to have an object. There are verbs called intransitive that literally cannot take objects. So it would be impossible for such a sentence to have a verb. IN FACT, the example sentence given below that statement is literally such a case. I can't even imagine how many more errors abound.

Yes, of course - this is great info for anyone who reads it. My point is not to go through the painstaking effort of describing every grammatical term, but to provide manageable tips and tricks to expedite people's writing journeys. I'll leave the rest for part 2 and encourage anyone interested in these nuances to dig into them more because they're the natural continuation of my (more basic) presentation

My professors have told me I need work in this area, and I agree. What frustrates me sometimes is that there’s no clear place to go (not even my professors) that can help me guide my writing skills. I’m happy to see this video here as you’re one of my favorite KZbinrs lol.

THANK YOU for your content. Your videos have been incredibly helpful during my undergraduate degree, especially in epistemology. I struggled to grasp the main ideas in On the Understanding of the Intellect, even after reading it in two languages. Your explanations made all the difference and helped me understand it clearly. I find it frustrating when professors assign dense philosophical texts with only a week to read them; it’s impossible to absorb everything without ample time to reflect! I don’t think philosophical ideas should be so difficult to comprehend, and your videos really address this issue. Once I fully understand a concept, I feel more motivated to question it and develop my own interpretations. You’ve made the learning process much more enjoyable, transforming my education from a daunting challenge into a rewarding journey.

Thank you ....I learned a few things! Not sure about "centre" and center." I thought that was simply English vs American and google seems to agree. Can you clarify?

Next to make them expert in the usefulest points of grammar, and withal to season them, and win them early to the love of virtue and true labor, ere any flattering seducement, or vain principle seize them wandering, some easy and delightful book of education would be read to them; whereof the Greeks have store, as Cebes, Plutarch, and other Socratic discourses. I don't know if you know this, but one's writing skills also boosts ones own speaking skills. There is always a need for writing. Another reason for writings importance, is style, one is able to stand themselves out and have character.
